Edited a number of mystery short story collections in the 1960s and 1970s.
Lent his name to "Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine", a popular anthology that continued to publish after his death.
Also lent his name and character to a series of adolescent books called "Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators" (circa 1950s-1960s). The premise was that main character Jupiter Jones won the use of Mr. Hitchcock's limousine. Hitch also often wrote forewards to this series of books.
In 1958, he produced a pilot for a crime/adventure series called "Clue" which starred
Dennis O'Keefe as a professor of criminology who liked to put his theories into action. The networks turned down the series, however.
(1945) Radio: Once Upon a Midnight. This was either a proposed 2 part radio play, or a "radio pilot" for a series. Neither a part 2 nor further episodes are known to exist. It was available in record album format in 1987 under the title, Bela Lugosi meets Alfred Hitchcock (Radiola, MR-1162), with the Hitchcock episode on side B. Sir Alfred served as host of the episode.
