What do Amitabh Bachchan and rapper Jay-z have in common? A superhit album composed by the reverent music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji of the evergreen film Don. Parts of the film’s original music feature on the rapper’s latest experimental album, Hindustani Gangster, meshed with Jay-z’s unique rapping style. It is an ode to the on-screen gangster’s psyche represented vividly in the retro Bollywood era — a theme that has been close to Jay-z’s heart since 2007 when he released American Gangster, his 10th studio album dedicated to Ridley Scott’s cult film by the same name, starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. »

The popularity of bromances like I Love You Man didn't begin and end with comedies. With a few exceptions, the finest Westerns of the 21st-century have focused on the world of male bonding: Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal... These all-star pairings have helped the form come a long way from its collective dry spell in the 1980s. Here's hoping »

Part 4: From Oh no to Robin Hood
Oh No
...Not you again. It's sequels a-go-go in 2010
Another year, another Harry Potter; well, half of one. Part one of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows is destined for a dust-up with the next Narnia movie, Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, next Christmas. Other usual suspects with sequel-denying titles include Shrek Forever After (Aka Shrek 4), Little Fockers (Meet The Parents 3), and Eclipse, part 3 of the Twilight saga. More enticing are a product recall for the Toy Story gang, who must escape a daycare centre, and Iron Man 2, which pits Robert Downey against Mickey Rourke. And let's see how the recession affects the shopping of Manhattan's first ladies in Sex And The City 2.
Pacific
Band of Brothers follow-up plus more Us drama
As you'd expect from Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and the crew that produced Band Of Brothers, Pacific (spring, »
- Pete Cashmore, Will Dean, Priya Elan, Stuart Heritage, Bobbie Johnson, Malik Meer, Rebecca Nicholson, Alex Rayner, Sam Richards, Steve Rose, Kathy Sweeney, Richard Vine, Damon Wise

Part 5: From Swords and sandals to Up in the air
Swords & Sandals
Move over robots, here comes the beefcake!
The tide has turned turned against robots and time travel in the blockbusters stakes. This summer's big movies involve medieval weaponry, mythical beasts, and beefcake straining against leather strapwork. Stepping into the sweaty Schwarzenegger-sized sandals are Avatar's Sam Worthington and Donnie Darko's Jake Gyllenhaal – the former battling Medusa, vengeful Greek gods and hopefully the Kraken in a remake of Clash Of The Titans, the latter flexing his new, gym-pumped physique against Ben Kingsley in lavish Disney fantasy The Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. Curiously, Gemma Arterton stars in both. Elsewhere, Kevin Macdonald enters Gladiator territory with his Roman Britain epic The Eagle Of The Ninth (see "R" for Russell Crowe's return to the genre), Tarsem Singh is getting his Theseus pic Dawn Of War together, »

2009 set a box office record that went over $10 billion, so 2010 has some lofty expectations for movie studios. Every major studio has their "secret weapon" release, which will hopefully make them some hefty bags of cash. Most studios unleash this flick sometime in the summer and Universal will be doing the same. However, studios can't fully rely on one or two blockbusters. They need to pick and choose where they're going to release other titles. All in hope of becoming that particular year's box office king.
Here's Universal's official weapons of choice:
The Wolfman (February 12th)
Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar® winner »

There's a new Entertainment Tonight set visit from Robin Hood, and outside of things some of us probably don't care about - Cate Blanchett's wardrobe and Russell Crowe bringing his kids to the set - it's a good behind-the-scenes look at Ridley Scott's latest.
We learn a bit about the location Scott and company have chosen to create the village of Nottingham, and there's a little bit of action, too, captured by the Et cameras. We don't hear from Ridley Scott, but Brian Grazer makes an appearance. And wherever Brian Grazer goes, that hairstyle will follow. Crowe talks a little bit about his physical preparation for this role, and he hasn't had as much of that to do in recent years, not since the underrated Cinderella Man, anyway.
On the whole, it's a pretty good three minutes and change, especially if you've seen the trailers (both of which »
