There are some undeniable perks to being a star of Keanu Reeves' caliber. Fighting cases like this is not one of them. What started off as a seemingly baseless paternity suit against the actor has turned into an exercise in the outrageous for a Canadian woman who is seeking at least $3 million in back spousal and child support and proof that Reeves is the father of her four adult children. Neither Reeves' assertion that he's never met Karen Sala, nor the negative match results of the DNA test he voluntarily submitted to last year have deterred the woman from moving ahead with her increasingly fantastical—and we mean fantastical—claims. Lawyers representing Keanu Reeves are asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit from a Canadian woman who claims the Hollywood star fathered her children.
Karen Sala filed suit against the actor last year demanding millions of dollars in child support and spousal support payments, alleging Reeves is the biological father of at least one of her four kids.
The Speed star, who maintains he doesn't even know the 46 year old, took a DNA test which proved he is not related to any of the children, but Sala dragged the case back to court to contest the results.
Now Reeves' legal team is angling to have the suit dismissed for good. A hearing in Ontario, Canada, has been scheduled for Thursday, when a judge will decide the final outcome of the case, according to the Canadian Press. »

What to say about this nuanced rumination on post-Bush homeland security, in which Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays Wax's reluctant desk-johnny accomplice? I guess the best thing would be that Travolta - so luxuriantly tressed in real life - really owns his character's baldness, and it's impossible not to feel optimistic about America's chances against terrorists when you »

Sandra Bullock had herself a kickass 2009. "The Proposal" and "The Blind Side" were massive hits, enough to make the sour cherry on top that was "All About Steve" a non-entity. The two big ones have grossed more than $500 million in ticket sales so far, and "The Blind Side" has yet to even see anything more than a domestic opening. The success was enough for a survey of movie theater execs to paint the star as the top-earning performer of 2009, according to /Film.
Not too shabby for an actress who was last seen in the 2007 thriller "The Premonition," which boasts a lowly 8% rating on RottenTomatoes. Is it really so surprising though? Clunkers like "Premonition" aside, Bullock has had more than her share of fine performances. Given her recent honors, we felt it would be fun to run through some of our favorites...

I actually hold the opinion that "Crash" is overrated, »
