Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz aren't the first celebrity parents to give their offspring a "place" name. Their newborn, Bronx, is the latest to join an esteemed group of star babies named after nations, states and cities, a baseball stadium and a posh hotel – some even commemorate the place of conception! New York, after all, is a pretty popular choice of inspiration. The Beckhams have Brooklyn, named after the borough where their first child was conceived. King of Queens star Kevin James's youngest daughter is Shea Joelle, after the home of the New York Mets. Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler

Rosie O'Donnell is debuting her variety show this coming Wednesday, November 26th, and has put this video as a teaser for the program. It seems like it’s trying to be an SNL skit of some sort, and the only thing missing is the comedy. It’s really not funny. But Rosie does have some A-list guests lined up for the special. Alec Baldwin, Liza Minnelli, Rachael Ray, Clay Aiken are just a few of the people stopping by. And little Sally does make a reference about Trump! Now that would be good ratings! Salma Hayek and Alec Baldwin filmed yet another scene on location for 30 Rock in NYC yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't smooth sailing for the show this week — on Wednesday shooting was canceled when a car crashed into the set, grazing a few actors and narrowly missing a young boy. Recently Alec Baldwin had a lot of positive things to say about Jennifer Aniston's appearance on the show, but he also called Salma the "most fabulous" guest star ever. Last night it was Steve Martin's time to shine on the excellent show, and while I would have loved to see him matched up with Jennifer Aniston, even separate they're treats. Splash News Online

The guest shots just keep coming on 30 Rock. In the last few weeks, Oprah Winfrey played it cool and Jennifer Aniston played it crazy on the Tina Fey-Alec Baldwin sitcom, and this week Fey's Baby Mama costar Steve Martin showed up to add to the show's incredible talent pool. As a creepy recluse, Martin steals the heart of Fey's Liz Lemon with his winning combination of agoraphobia, fondness for cupcakes and aversion to physical contact. But before it can all go wrong, Tracy Morgan uses a Japanese sex doll made in his own likeness to stop a suicide and bring a family together. Heartwarming stuff. null

Jennifer Aniston ducked out of the Four Seasons and into her car in La last night. She's been busy making new friends, but Jennifer has fans all over. Alec Baldwin sang her praises after her appearance on 30 Rock last week calling their kissing scene the "greatest day" of his life. He said, "Whenever you do that with someone, it's so fake. They're getting paid to kiss you and I'm getting paid to kiss her. But she's a doll." Jennifer isn't the only one making a good impression — supposedly John Mayer met and impressed her dad and stepmom over dinner last night. X17 Online and Most Wanted

Actor Alec Baldwin looks up to Oscar winner Tom Hanks - because "he's got it all".
Both stars have managed to carve out successful careers in Hollywood, but the 30 Rock actor insists he can't help but envy Hanks' talent and continued popularity.
He tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "There's only one person I know who is enormously successful and he still has all this talent, he still has a sense of humour and he still has his wife."
And it isn't just Hanks' on-screen portrayals that he admires - Baldwin, who divorced spouse Kim Basinger in 2002, is also in awe of the actor's family life.
He adds, "He's got it all. He's got his wife. He's got his kids. He's got every movie he wants to make. Hanks is someone who I admire boundlessly. And he's still funny and he's happy."
Hanks has been married to second wife, actress/producer Rita Wilson, for the last 20 years.

What's it like to kiss Jennifer Aniston? "It was the greatest day of my life," Alec Baldwin told People Wednesday at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Dedication Gala in New York. The two locked lips during last week's episode of 30 Rock, where Aniston played a crazy friend of Tina Fey's from Chicago. Baldwin said kissing scenes as a rule tend not to be that good. "Whenever you do that with someone, it's so fake. They're getting paid to kiss you and I'm getting paid to kiss her. But she's a doll," he said. Baldwin, who plays Ge exec Jack

Republican actor Stephen Baldwin will stay in the U.S. - he was "just joking" when he vowed to flee the country if Democratic politician Barack Obama was elected president.
The star stunned fans when he appeared on U.S. TV show Fox News and made the promise, poking fun at his liberal brother Alec, who reportedly announced in 2000 he would move abroad if George W. Bush was voted into the White House.
A string of Obama-supporting stars - including Seal, Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin and Michael Stipe - similarly vowed to leave the country if Republican John McCain was the eventual victor this year.
But just two weeks after Obama was named the 44th U.S. President, Baldwin has backtracked on his pledge - insisting the remark was made in jest.
He tells New York gossip column PageSix, "The liberal Democrats who didn't get that I was joking need to lighten up. Obama is obviously talented and intelligent, and I have great respect for the man.
"He's got my full support, and I'm gonna be praying for him and his administration."

Alec Baldwin says kissing Jennifer Aniston on hit TV show "30 Rock" was "painful."
The 50-year-old actor - whose character Jack Donaghy had to lock lips with Jennifer's portrayal of "stalker" Claire Harper - admits the process was not as enjoyable as he had imagined it would be.
He joked: "It was painful. I mean, every man who's had to make out with her in TV and movies - I don't know how they do it!"
Alec - who has one daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger - was also asked whether he believed the "30 Rock" episode's suggestion that "crazy" women are better in bed.

Actress Kristen Johnston is showing off her slimline new look by stripping for a new People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals anti-cruelty ad.
The former 3rd Rock From The Sun star appears nude on horseback in a racy Lady Godiva tribute as part of PETA's bid to put New York City's carriage horses out to pasture.
The ad is aimed at tourists, heading for Central Park for the holidays, who are tempted to take a carriage ride.
Johnston will debut the ad in Central Park on Thursday, and she's not alone in her support for the cause - other celebrities who support PETA's campaign to ban horse-drawn carriages include Pink, Alec Baldwin and Chrissie Hynde.
Johnston says, "I was blown away by how these horses live, or actually I should say, don't live.
"The horses go from this horrible job, where they're pulling people through the streets of Manhattan all day, to this tiny jail cell in this building that's like a cramped parking garage.
"I'd say to tourists considering coming to New York, there's so much amazing stuff to do here. But please do something else. Go ice-skating, see a show, go shopping. I hope within the next year that there are no more horse-drawn carriages."
The new campaign comes as New York City council member Dan Garodnick aims to phase out horse-drawn carriages in a new bill.
He proposes that eco-friendly "horseless carriages" - replicas of the classic Ford Model T - will replace the outdated horse-drawn carriages.

Salma Hayek was back on the set of 30 Rock in NYC yesterday with Valentina along to see mom work. Alec Baldwin joined her to shoot scenes and it sounds like Jack Donaghy has yet another love interest on the way. Last night, however, it was all about Jennifer Aniston, who did a great job playing Liz's crazy obsessive friend. Not only was she hilarious back on NBC Thursday night, but she looked fantastic. The guest stars on 30 Rock have done a great job bringing the laughs so far this season, and hopefully Steve Martin next week and Salma later in the season can keep that momentum going. Npg and Ramey

Miami, Fl (Cns) -- Jennifer Aniston didn't say much about Angelina Jolie when she started a romance with Brad Pitt during filming of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" with Aniston's then-husband, Brad Pitt. Aniston finally breaks her silence in the December 2008 issue of Vogue when she says that Angelina Jolie was "inappropriate" and "uncool."
When asked about Jolie's timeline of how she fell in love with Pitt on the set of the 2005 action film, Aniston was quoted as saying "There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening. I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."
In the new Vogue magazine, which will feature shots of Aniston showing off her figure in designer bikinis, she also talked about ex-husband Pitt. ""[We've exchanged] a few very

Marty the zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the giraffe (David Schwimmer) and Alex the lion (Ben Stiller) in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
Photo: DreamWorks Animation I will always remain baffled at how 2005's Madagascar was loved by so many and ended up raking in over $193 million at the box-office. In my eyes the film was hardly worth the celluloid it was shown on. Taking that into consideration I walked into the screening of Madagascar Escape 2 Africa with trepidation and concern I was in for another 90 minutes of boredom. To my surprise my experience couldn't have been much better. While this sequel to a lame duck animated flick that wildly over exceeded its quality isn't the best animated film I have seen this year, it is far from the worst and holds a lot of laughs. The primary problem with the first Madagascar was that the story essentially went nowhere. The four

Rated PG
It isn’t just the oh-so-clever use of a number in the title that hints that this is a sequel – Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa feels obligatory and tired, like a lot of sequels do when there’s not much story left to tell. Perhaps it fits this case better to say when the wrong story appears to be told.
Escape 2 Africa isn’t bad; it’s just not that memorable. And the things that were funny and different about the original film, which was released in 2005, are pushed into the background in favor of struggling storylines involving escaped zoo animals Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the zebra (Chris Rock), Melman the hypochondriacal giraffe (David Schwimmer), and Gloria the hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith).

Every time a new animated film comes along, grown-ups have to ask themselves a series of questions: Will it scare their kids, teach them bad habits or annoying behavior, or instill a ravening need for a particular series of toys or other spin-offs? More importantly, will there be anything in the film to keep adult viewers occupied? With Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, at least, the answer is yes: Grown-ups can spend their time totting up all the scenes, ideas, plot points, and characters ripped off from other films. Actually, Madagascar 2 is so egregiously lazy with its story that even the littlest kids may wind up counting along with their parents. In an opening flashback, an African lion named Zuba squares off against his scheming, underhanded rival Makunga (Alec Baldwin), and in the process loses his tiny son Alex to poachers. Years later, a grown-up Alex and his zoo-animal...
