Lord Of The Rings star Sean Bean has been arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.
The actor was questioned by police in London for six hours after his new wife Georgina filed a complaint.
She alleges the 49-year-old assaulted her during a row at their London home. But Georgina, 29, later dropped the assault claim.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to a residential address. A male was arrested.
"He was subsequently informed no further action was being taken against him."
His wife told reporters following Bean's release from custody, "Everything is Ok. Sean and I are at home together enjoying the sunshine. He was arrested. Everything was blown out of proportion.
"The police held him quite a while, but Sean is fine and I'm fine. There's no problem between us."
The couple wed in February. It is Bean's fourth marriage.

To each fiery cinema individualist his own honorial DVD box set: here we have a reacquaintance . or initiation, for the babies of the Reagan/Thatcher era . with the unique howl of Derek Jarman, dead in 1994 from AIDS at the age of 52, a career attenuated by the very same fate that ended up giving it such amperage. Jarman was the moment's jester prince; he never made a film you'd mistake for the work of another, or a film that doesn't manifest on the screen as an unpredictably impish riff on serious matters, Art-making and Sex and Death. Not to mention,

A recent blog update was discovered at Jordan Bayne's MySpace page where she reveals a ton of info on an upcoming horror western entitled High Noon. According to her blog she will be co-starring alongside the awesome Rutger Hauer, Sean Bean (The Hitcher) and Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) with John Woo in talks to executive produce. Bayne writes on her blog, "Think "Lost Boys" meets "The Magnificent Seven". And my writing partner Asim Ahmad is also the producer through his company Solar Eclipse. Originally we were supposed to begin shooting in February 08 but it has been pushed [for a great reason which I am not at liberty to divulge quite yet] to August 08." Watch for more news as it comes in.
