Feldman Turning To Haim For Support Through Divorce

5 November 2009 5:41 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Corey Feldman has turned to his childhood pal and Lost Boys co-star Corey Haim for support as he struggles through his divorce from wife Susie Sprague.

Feldman admits he's "gutted" and "heartbroken" about his marriage breakdown, after he was slapped with divorce papers from the Playboy pin-up last week (ends30Oct09) - just days before their seventh wedding anniversary.

Sprague has also filed for sole custody of their son Zen, five.

Feldman briefly fell out with Haim over his old friend's drug problems, but the pair has since patched up its differences and have turned to one another for comfort.

In a post on his website, Feldman writes, "He (Haim) called to make a truce... I still love the guy."

The rekindled friendship is also helping Feldman through the pain of losing his one-time pal Michael Jackson in June.

A source tells the National Enquirer, "Feldman was hit with a double whammy - the divorce filing and the death of close friend Michael Jackson - and Haim has been there to give him a shoulder to cry on.

"They've been through hundreds of battles - including drug problems, divorce and personal and professional jealousy. But the Coreys are still there for each other."

The two stars appeared together in a reality TV show last year, which also featured Sprague. »

Actor Corey Feldman has opened up about his marriage split, telling fans on his blog he's "gutted" about the break-up.

The Lost Boys star has confirmed his wife Susie has filed for divorce and custody of the couple's son, Zen - just before what would have been the pair's seventh wedding anniversary.

Feldman writes, "Although I am heartbroken by her recent actions, all that really matters is the health and wellbeing of Zen. I vow to never leave his side for a large bit of time. He is my breath and my life, and I cannot be without him.

"I have had him at the hotel with me for the last few nights and it has been so nice, I am crying as I write this because I have to let him go back tomorrow, I wish I didn’t have to. But although scorned, I truly want what's best for my child and if that means I have to bite my lip through tough negotiations I will do it. Anything for Zen!!!!!" »

Corey Haim to return to the screen

American Sunset will hold its red carpet, world premiere at the Laemmle Theatre in Santa Monica on November 9, 2009, and will be followed by a private after party where fans can meet and greet their teenage crush. Apparently Corey's personal website is the place to secure tickets to this exclusive premiere event.   Ever since his boyish face and cheeky grin burst onto cinema screens in the 1980s, Corey Haim has been synonymous with movie escapades that involve narrow escapes and near misses, usually alongside his ‘80s sidekick Corey Feldman. Their screen relationship included films such as Dream A Little Dream, License To Drive and vampire classic The Lost Boys among others, as well as the more recent reality TV show The Two Corey's, which used as its title their eighties stardom nickname and amazingly made it to two seasons. »

Feldman 'Squeamish' Despite Horror Acting

1 November 2009 5:46 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Former child star Corey Feldman finds it amusing his career has been based in horror movies - because he's so squeamish.

The Goonies actor admits he can't stand watching gruesome pictures and finds it ironic he ended up predominantly in the genre.

He says, "It's really funny because I was just thinking the other night that for a guy who's not into gore, I sure am in a lot of horror movies.

"There's been Gremlins, the Friday the 13th movies, Lost Boys, Tales From The Crypt, the new internet series Splatter and I also host the EyeGore Awards at Universal Studios.

"I like the occasional horror movie but I'm very squeamish, I don't like the gory parts. It wasn't part of the masterplan but somehow I became Vincent Price (iconic horror actor). I'm not sure how that happened. I should maybe put an end to it but it's a lot of fun making them and I really enjoy it." »

Feldman Protects Son From Limelight

31 October 2009 7:06 AM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Corey Feldman refuses to allow his young son to launch a movie career - because his own childhood was wrecked by fame.

Feldman shot to stardom in a string of blockbuster films in the 1980s, including Gremlins, Stand By Me, and The Lost Boys.

He has since battled drink and drug demons, and recently split from wife Susie after seven years - and he is adamant he wants to keep their five-year-old son, Zen, out of the spotlight.

He says, "With my son, I work very hard to keep him away form the press and media and I want an opportunity for him to lead as normal a life as possible. When he is 18, if he wants to act, that's his decision and I'll support him, but I would never want him to sacrifice his childhood. I didn't have one." »

Halloween Special Part 1: Jason Voorhees vs Me

31 October 2009 4:44 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

To bring us into Halloween I thought I would do a daring deed and take on Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger in a no holds bared face off (literally) where I have watched the entire back catalogue of their films to determine once and for all who is champion slasher

The three killers have haunted us through our childhoods with each horror legend bringing us movies which have completely terrified and equally bemused us with poor sequels and terrible plots

Beware pictures of blood, gore, slight nudity and terrible acting to follow.

I begin with Part one of the Halloween Special and start with Friday the 13th and Jason Voorhees, one of the most iconic horror villains of all time sporting the classic hockey mask and machete, Jason Voorhees has become a vastly popular member of the horror circle and would be up there with Dracula, Frankstein’s »

Exclusive Video: Corey Feldman and Roger Corman Talk Splatter

30 October 2009 12:39 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Whenever you get two extremely talented filmmakers together both with huge followings you can run the risk of egos clashing and prima donna behavior, and god forbid you add a famous actor into that equation, you could be writing a recipe for disaster. However that was not the case when filmmaking legend Roger Corman, acclaimed director Joe Dante and fan-favorite actor Corey Feldman collaborated for the exclusive new web-series, Splatter; which begins airing on-line October 29th. Sponsored by Netflix and available to subscribers and non-subscribers alike, the series can be seen by going to www.netflix.com/splatter beginning October 29th with a second installment airing November 6th and the entire series concludes on Friday, November 13. But what's the catch, you say? Viewers will have the opportunity to vote on line for which characters they think should live and which should die, so they will actually have control over the outcome of the series. »

Halloween List-Making Invades The MTV Newsroom

30 October 2009 12:00 PM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

For this week's final Halloween movies list, I decided to turn hit up the real superstars: my co-workers here in the MTV Newsroom who keep this great ship moving every damn day. After the jump you'll find recommendations and reminiscences from around the office. If you're game for some heavy reading, make sure to check out the last write-up, detailing Joel Hanek's pick: "Ernest Scared Stupid." Oh yes, he went there.

As for myself (MTV Movies Blog editor Adam Rosenberg), it's a toss-up. To this day I still have occasional nightmares relating to "Candyman," the Bernard Rose-directed, Virginia Madsen-starring horror flick based on a tale by novelist Clive Barker. There's something uniquely terrifying about the Candyman's ability to attack at any time, day or night. When horror can touch you even in the relative safety of sunlight, that's something to fear.

The other one that still gets me, »

Video: Corey Feldman Talks Lost Boys 3: The Thirst

30 October 2009 10:49 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

If he never does anything else with the rest of his life at least Corey Feldman can say he was in four of the most beloved movies of the last thirty-years. Beginning with Gremlins in 1984 at the age of thirteen Feldman went on to star in classic films such as The Goonies and Stand By Me among other movies but it was his role as Edgar Frog in The Lost Boys that has kept in the hearts and minds of fans for decades. He reprised his role in last year's extremely successful direct-to-dvd release Lost Boys: The Tribe and it was recently announced that he would be appearing in a third film as well. We had the opportunity to speak with Feldman early this week and in light of the recent news that his wife and The Two Coreys co-star, Susie Sprague-Feldman has filed for divorce, he seemed upbeat »

Corey Feldman is heartbroken

Corey Feldman is heartbroken about his impending divorce.

The 'Lost Boys' actor insists he doesn't want to split from his wife of seven years, Susannah, after she filed papers last week.

His representative said: "Corey is deeply hurt and saddened by this unexpected change in their relationship, and has done nothing to contribute to the demise of the marriage.

"He is hopeful that he and Susie can work to resolve this quickly and amicably, and he is fully committed to doing what is best for the welfare of their son."

Susannah cited "irreconcilable differences" in the papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 22.

She has requested legal and physical custody of their five-year-old son Zen, with Corey paying spousal and child support, while having visitation rights.

Corey and Susannah married in 2002 - nine months after meeting in a nightclub - on the final episode of reality show 'The Surreal Life'. »
