Graduated From Booker T. Washington High school in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1982.

During the mid-1980s, she and Shelley Fabares teamed up in a "Murder, She Wrote" (1984)-style pilot for a television series, Suburban Beat (1985) (TV). They were cast as housewives who solved mysteries.

Langenkamp's voice appears three times in the song "Are You Ready For Freddy" by The Fat Boys, which plays at the end of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988). The irony in that scene was, even though Heather was playing a 15-year-old, in reality she actually was 20 years old.
