He has more range, charisma, and an overall greater and more magnetic screen presence than McQueen was ever capable of. People tend to look at the past through rose colored glasses and remember the stars of yesteryear in some God-like fashion. The reality is that McQueen simply wouldn't match up to an an actor like Vin Diesel. Sorry.
