Unfortunately, those who cannot pay meet men like Jake Freivald and Remy who must repossess their hear, liver etc. This full length trailer below is for a mature audience only, as there is nudity, graphic violence, and coarse language. Red Band Trailer for 'Repo Men' with Jude Law

24 December 2009 3:25 PM, PST | GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news »

I'm not the first and I won't be the last to point out that there's a jarring similarity between the events of Repo Men and Repo: The Genetic Opera. The movies go about things differently, but organ repossession in the future? Kind of rare to see two of those movies pop up within a couple years.

The scope of each films is different, however. One's a lower budget horror musical and one's a dystopic action flick with Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, and Liev Schreiber. Plus, Genetic Opera was not exactly a major hit, so it's not as if the majority of the audience for Repo Men will be aware of some obvious comparisons.

On its own, Repo Men looks Ok, not great. Maybe Surrogates level sci-fi. There's a twist in this Red Band trailer, and that might be where the real action is, but I'm not sure this jumped up »

First And Restricted “Repo Men” Trailer

24 December 2009 12:26 PM, PST | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

MySpace has debuted the first and restricted trailer for Universal Pictures’ futuristic action-thriller “Repo Men.” Take a look also at the poster and a new photo from the film.

Jude Law and Forest Whitaker in Repo Men

The film which stars Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Liev Schreiber, RZA, Alice Braga, Carice van Houten among others  is based on the novel “The Repossession Mambo” by Eric Garcia.

Miguel Sapochnik is directed from the script co-written by Garcia and TV writer Garrett Lerner.

In “Repo Men,” humans have extended and improved our lives through highly sophisticated and expensive mechanical organs created by a company called The Union. The dark side of these medical breakthroughs is that if you don’t pay your bill, The Union sends its highly skilled repo men to take back its property… with no concern for your comfort or survival.

Jude Law in a Bloody, Action-Packed Repo Men Trailer

24 December 2009 10:47 AM, PST | SciFiCool.com | See recent SciFiCool.com news »

So there’s this sci-fi movie called “Repo Men”, starring Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, and Liev Schreiber. From what I can tell, it looks like a pretty expensive, slick, big-budget sci-fi action movie, too. And, um, I didn’t know it existed until now. Go figure. Check out a red band trailer for “Repo Men”, which looks a lot like “Logan’s Run” with human organs. The film has Jude Law playing, from what I can tell, his first ever leading man role in what is a full blown action movie. No real method acting here, just pure sci-fi action and spraying blood. Lots of that in the future when you’re dealing with guys who repossesses human organs — by literally cutting them out of their “wearers”. Set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the »

Repo Men Trailer Starring Jude Law

24 December 2009 8:38 AM, PST | FilmJunk | See recent FilmJunk news »

Breathe easy folks, this is not a remake of the 1984 Emilio Estevez cult classic Repo Man, but rather a new dark sci-fi thriller starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. In the future, artificial organs save lives, but they also cost a lot of money. Many people buy them on credit, and when they fail to make a payment, Jude Law and his buddies come knocking at their door to rip the organs back out of their bodies. Sounds like kind of a clever concept to me, and perhaps a timely one as well. The first trailer for Repo Men is a red band one, which is mainly so that they can show off the bloody nature of the job (although there is some brief nudity as well). You should be warned that the trailer does give away a plot twist that may or may not end up being a big spoiler. »

Where should sci-fi boldly go in 2010?

24 December 2009 3:41 AM, PST | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

With the success of Star Trek, Avatar and District 9, It's been a high-profile year for science-fiction, but has the quality matched the publicity? What new paths might the genre explore in the next decade?

Earlier this year, sci-fi actioner Pandorum proved that you can concoct an entertaining - if rather artistically bankrupt - thriller in space by splicing together bits of other popular genre flicks: in this case, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien and Brit horror flick The Descent. Looking forward to next year's crop of sci fi movies, I wonder if Repo Men might follow a similar route.

The film is not, as its name suggests, a sequel to Alex Cox's wry 1984 punk cult classic, but rather an original piece based on the 2009 novel The Repossession Mambo, by Eric Garcia. I say original, for Repo Men seems to have grabbed elements of every sci fi flick from Gattaca to Minority Report, »

Jude Law and Forest Whitaker in Repo Men

Photo: Universal Pictures Universal's upcoming action-thriller Repo Men starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker has already been rated R for strong bloody violence, grisly images, language and some sexuality/nudity. So, I guess it is only appropriate the first trailer for the film to be released is a red band trailer featuring a bit of the naughty just in time for the holidays.

In this futuristic action-thriller humans have extended and improved lives through highly sophisticated and expensive mechanical organs created by a company called The Union. The dark side of these medical breakthroughs is that if you don't pay your bill, The Union sends its highly skilled repo men to take back its property...with no concern for your comfort or survival.

Jude Law Becomes the Hunted in 'Repo Men' Red Band Trailer

23 December 2009 9:48 PM, PST | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

A look at Jude Law as Remy, a repo man struggling to stay alive, in the sci-fi thriller "Repo Men" has been shared through the film's red band trailer. Coming out courtesy of MySpace, the sneak peek exposes Law's life before and after he himself received a heart transplant from The Union, the company he used to work as repo man.

Providing clues to the plot, this trailer also gives out glimpses at other characters, including Forest Whitaker's Jake Freivald, Liev Schreiber's Frank, Carice Van Houten's Carol and Alice Braga's Beth. It is given the age-restriction since some of the scenes displayed contains some nudity and gore footage.

"Repo Men" is set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit. It centers around Remy, a repo man for The Union who finds himself hunted by his former partner as he struggles to »

Poster and red band trailer for Repo Men

Universal has just released the official poster and red band trailer for Repo Men, starring Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, and Liev Schreiber. Sadly, this is not a sequel to the 1984 classic Repo Man, starring the once-badass Emilio Estevez. I’ve just finished the trailer, and it’s full of action, violence, blood, knives – the things that makes the world go ’round – but I find the story a bit strange. From what I saw, Remy (Law) and Jake (Whitaker) are organ repo men. In the future, you can buy an $80,000 organ and you’ll live long and prosper, but if you don’t pay up, the repo man will hunt you down and cut it out. After a weird accident, Remy has a change of heart and decides to take down the system.

Repo Men Goes Redband

23 December 2009 2:45 PM, PST | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

A film set in the future where organ donation has gone corporate and, should you relapse on your payments, hired assassins/surgeons come out of the the dark to rip you open and steal your inner workings.  Sounds awfully familiar, since Repo: The Genetic Opera hit a limited number of theaters and Blu-Ray/DVD shelves last year.

However, this premise also falls to Repo Men, a film that boasts a lot more in terms of budget and a lot less in terms of Gothic arias.  Nevertheless, judging from the redband trailer released today, courtesy of MySpace’s Trailer Park, the newer version of this story is just as gruesome and bloody as anything Bousman could put to film.

Check it out right here.  A warning, though.  This thing is anything but Sfw:

Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, and Liev Schrieber all rock, and it looks like the makers behind this, particularly »

Trailer and Poster: Repo Man

23 December 2009 2:05 PM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Tis the season and all that – and we’ve seen a blood-Red Band Trailer for Kick-Ass which was featured Hit Girl on a rampage and now we’ve got a look at Repo Men, directed by Miguel Sapochnik and starring Liev SchreiberForest Whitaker and Dr. Watson himself, Jude Law.

Law looks like he’s having the time of his life in this trailer, and the whole premise of artificial organs being repossessed by force is an interesting one and Sapochnik appears to have cast his film well – Whitaker and Law make for a likeable pair.

It’s a Red Band trailer so be warned, but I think it captures the kinetic spirit of the film, though it doesn’t fuel the bloodstream like Hit Girl did earlier this week…

Here’s the trailer and the poster is just below. More can be enjoyed on the official site.

Repo Men Red Band Trailer and Poster: This Ain’t Alex Cox’s Vision of the Repo Life

23 December 2009 1:05 PM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

Repo Men is the film once called Reposession Mambo, which has been sitting on the shelf at Universal for a while. The movie has nothing to do with the Alex Cox classic Repo Man. Instead it tells of a near future when human life spans have been greatly extended by expensive artificial organs created by a company called The Union. When people fail to make their payments for a fancy new liver or other piece of their gut, a team of surgical operatives are sent out to reclaim The Union's property. The film follows two of these guys, played by Jude Law and Forest Whitaker. Check out the first red band trailer to see what's in store. I like Jude Law and love Forest Whitaker and Liev Schreiber, but despite the blood and guts this looks pretty routine. The actors have gone all in, no question, but there's not a »

Universal has just debuted the first deliciously red band trailer for Repo Men over on MySpace. This is the Hollywood rip off of Darren Bousman's Repo! The Genetic Opera but without all of the singing. It's about a future where human organs can be manufactured to replace defective ones, but they're expensive. And if you don't make your payments, the repo men will come and rip out the organs right out of your body. Repo Men stars Liev Schreiber, Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Alice Braga, Carice van Houten, and RZA.
