More of our best of the decade coverage, which started on Tuesday. You can read the other posts at the link above. Here, we talk about the best dramatic actors of the decade. And, boy, was it a tough choice.
From a meth-making chemistry teacher to a damaged 1960s ad exec, the guys populating the dramatic actor category in our best of the decade are nothing short of brilliant.
It's hard to choose favorites when you're dealing with the likes of Jon Hamm, Bryan Cranston, Mark Harmon, James Gandolfini, and many others, but the TV Squad team has spoken.
Did your favorites make our list? If not, feel free to add them in the comments below.

As we discussed in our review of "Faith," Tuesday night's NCIS worked in the traditional murder-mystery angle with more personal/family stories than we usually see.
Below, our staff members break down the latest episode of TV's #1 show in further detail in an NCIS Round Table discussion. Here's what our panel had to say ...
1. What was your favorite NCIS quote from the episode?
The Barnacle: Ziva may speak nine languages (10 including the language of love), but she kills me every week with slip-ups like "redthroats" and "bah-humbog."
Dr. Shepherd: A tie between any of Tony's uncomfortable Secret Santa ramblings and Ducky's rambling, philosophical conversation with the corpse (and Palmer).
M.L. House: In an episode called "Faith," I have to go with Gibbs on the Reverend's comment about his son's god vs. his own: "They're one and the same."
2. Which story did you enjoy more, Gibbs' dad visiting or the murder mystery? »

Last night's NCIS, "Faith," almost pushed the team's investigation into a Marine's death to the back burner, thanks to the terrific family/holiday story lines involving the cast.
Not that the murder plot lacked mystery and intrigue in its own right. Follow this link for a full episode guide, then read our review below and see if you agree with our take:
A surprise visit by his dad (a terrifically-cast Ralph Waite, who looks and acts like Mark Harmon's Gibbs) threw Jethro for a loop. He rarely shows, and was acting strangely.
When Gibbs can't quite put his finger on his father's erratic behavior, he brings in the heavily artillery: Ducky and scotch! The old-timers get drunk and share many laughs.
Ducky's armchair psychoanalysis leads to an interesting conclusion: Elder Gibbs isn't demented or losing his faculties, just going through old-fashioned emotional distress.
Since the taciturn father and son aren't exactly good at communicating, »

(S07E10) NCIS Christmas. Is that an oxymoron? No, not really, although the death of a Muslim Marine is a bit of a downer. Presumably they had to have some case for the crew to work on, but all things considered, it wasn't much of a mystery and the show could have been just as good without it.
The real crux of the episode was the surprise visit by Gibbs' father. Ralph Waite was back as Mark Harmon's dad, and you have to like the casting. He's not only a good actor, he actually looks like Harmon and has a similar taciturn quality.

On Tuesday's holiday episode of NCIS, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will get a special visit from his father (guest star Ralph Waite), and the family connections won't stop there.
Check out photos of the NCIS cast
Waite, 81, first visited the CBS hit procedural in Season 6. This time around, he will exhibit some unusual behavior that leaves Gibbs perplexed as he and the team investigate the possible hate-crime killing of the son of a retired colonel turned preacher.
Even though the episode has Christmas themes, Rocky Carroll warns that it's not exactly a heartwarming hour...

It's the Christmas episode of NCIS tonight, and when the Halloween episode didn't appeal well to critics, you hope tonight's "Faith" is better. For a couple of things, Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) father is making another appearance, and so is Abby's best friend Carol Wilson, to be played by her real-life best friend Meredith Eaton. Don't you like it already?
On the episode, the team tries to solve a case involving a Reverend's son and they soon figure out he may be involved in a hate crime. Gibbs, meanwhile, tries to figure out why his father has a sudden change in behavior right before the holidays. Uh oh. As for Abby, who is obsessed with Christmas, her best friend Carol is on NCIS to grant a child a Christmas wish.

Looks like the talented ranks of NCIS guest stars will swell in 2010.
Tomorrow night's episode, "Faith," closes the book on 2009. When the new year's first episode, "Ignition," airs January 5, it will feature some familiar prime-time faces.
Rena Sofer (pictured), who's guested on everything from 24 to Heroes to recent episodes of CBS' Criminal Minds and Ghost Whisperer, will play a tough-as-nails lawyer.
According to TV Guide, her character on NCIS tangles with her old nemesis, Gibbs (Mark Harmon), when one of her clients is suspected in the murder of a Navy pilot.
Rena Sofer is getting ready to tangle with Gibbs. Too bad for her!
There's more. The possible perp will be played by Marcus Giamatti (brother of actor Paul Giamatti), who spent six seasons as Amy's brother Peter on Judging Amy.
Plus, his ex-wife, who'll also play a role, will be played by Melinda Page Hamilton, known to Mad Men fans as Anna Draper, »

The actress who played Nathan's formerly wheelchair-bound wife Heidi on Heroes is set to join the CBS procedural NCIS, where she'll have a potentially recurring, long-time guest role as hard-nosed, no nonsense lawyer Margaret Allison Hart, reports TV Guide.
Rena Sofer, who was also on 24 as Jack's sister-in-law Marilyn, will visit NCIS starting on the show's first post-holiday episode on January 5, and her character will reportedly have an ex to grind against Gibbs (Mark Harmon). She'll cross paths with the team when her client is suspected in the death of a Navy pilot.

There's no new episode this week, but we do have a Christmas to look forward to on NCIS come December 15. Might Leroy Jethro Gibbs hang up his mistletoe that night?
It looks like it - at least soon, if not that week. Executive producer Shane Brennan tells TV Guide that Mark Harmon’s Gibbs is going to have someone to kiss this season!
We haven't seen Gibbs get romantic with a woman since Col. Hollis Mann in Season Four. That drought is about to end, as Brennan says “there is a kiss in Gibbs’ future."
This new female will stick around for a while, too. But Gibbs had better watch his back, because Brennan warns her kiss may be “romantic or a Judas kiss.” Thoughts?
Looks like NCIS fans will get a glimpse of Gibbs' love life in early 2010.

Warner Home Entertainment’s newest animated effort featuring DC Comics Heroes and villains: Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, arrives on DVD February 23rd, 2010. The film features villains from the classic DC Crime Syndicate. Check out an image and the trailer after the jump.
Created back when goatees marked your obvious ill intent, the Csa is made up of evil, alternate reality versions of Earth’s own heroes, who didn’t wear masks! Though the Csa met it’s end in the original Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, they none-the-less returned years later in a classic story arc by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely.
Like Green Lantern: First Flight and Warner’s other recent DC Comics Home Entertainment entries, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, will carry a rating of PG-13, reminding us that Warner doesn’t just consider these super hero adventures as “strictly for kids”. Though February seems far away, »

Now that's what I'm talkin' about: Superman kicks Superman's ass!
Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths now has a trailer and it's a pretty cool one at that. The story, about the evil dopplangers of the Jla from another dimension -- and why are the dopplangers always evil? Why aren't they gay? Or naked? Or naked and gay? 'Cause they are in my fantasies -- is the latest outing from Warner Animation.
With a top notch voice cast (James Woods! Mark Harmon!) and excellent production values, I'm planning on watching this -- even though the Green Lantern will, no doubt, only use his ring for "appropriate" purposes.
The film is out in February of 2010. Source: Trailer for “Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths” Released : Slice of SciFi »

After weeks that saw the World Series on Fox and then NBC's Sunday Night Football top the broadcast ratings for the week, a scripted show—specifically, CBS' powerhouse NCIS—was champion again for the week ending Nov. 22, after dominating for the first five weeks of the season. The Tuesday evening procedural starring Mark Harmon drew 20.3 million viewers, a full 1.5 million over the Monday edition of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, which came in second place with 18.8 million viewers. NBC's Sunday Night Football, which always performs strongly, showed up at No. 3, grabbing 17.3 million viewers for the showdown that saw the Philadelphia »

TV Fanatic's review of "Power Down" touched on just how good last night's NCIS was because of the blackout, whereas so many other shows would have fallen short.
Below, our staff members break down the latest episode of TV's #1 show in further detail in an NCIS Round Table discussion. Here's what our panel had to say ...
1. What was your favorite NCIS quote from the episode?
The Barnacle: Tough call! Either Abby's "joke" that she admitted was only funny if you have a PhD in chemistry, or Gibbs' nonchalant "Book 'em, Da-Nozzo" after Tony had been annoying everyone with outdated TV show reference all night.
Dr. Shepherd: I'm going to go with all the NCIS quotes Gibbs does not produce even when he's directly spoken to. This must have happened 5-6 times last night. Gibbs is a man who does not utter a word unless he deems it directly necessary for survival. »

The Vancouver-lensed CW TV series Smallville, focusing on the early life of 'Superman', will feature DC Comics' 'Hawkman' in the 2-hour TV movie special Smallville: Absolute Justice. The film connects the unaired, new TV episodes Society and Legends. Michael "Stargate SG1" Shanks is Hawkman, Andromeda's Brent "Andromeda" Stait is 'Dr. Fate', Brittney Irvin is 'Stargirl' and Pam Grier is 'Amanda Waller', leader of the superheroes. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Dennis Neville, the original Hawkman first appeared in Flash Comics #1, published by All-American Publications in 1940. Several incarnations of Hawkman have appeared in DC Comics, all of them characterized by the use of archaic weaponry and large, artificial wings, attached to a harness made from the special 'Nth metal' that allows flight. 'Stargirl' can shoot stars from her 'Cosmic Converter Belt', via the use of a cosmic staff. 'Doctor Fate' is a sorcerer, possessing mystical »

There's a city-wide blackout on tonight's episode of NCIS, so when the team literally finds themselves in the dark, quite literally. They're investigating the death of a lieutenant and an attempted robbery, and somehow, this is connected to the power outage.
What does this mean? This means, all of Abby's (Pauley Perrette) high-tech gadgets are for naught, and everyone's trying to approach the case just like they do in the olden times - of course, reference to Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) age will be a running joke.

Back when I reviewed DC Universe’s most excellent Superman/Batman: Public Enemies animated feature, my exploration of the special features uncovered a sneak preview of the next offering from Dce’s animated division, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. Taken from DC’s famous “Crisis” canon of stories, the new direct-to-dvd/Blu-ray will focus on our favorite superhero team’s perilous adventure to an alternate Earth.
Well, now an official trailer for Crisis on Two Earths has hit the web, and courtesy of IGN we have to share.
In Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Superman (Mark Harmon), Batman (William Baldwin), Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash and Martian Manhunter are contacted by Lex Luthor (Chris North) – only this isn’t the Lex we all know and hate, but rather a Luthor from an alternate universe where the evil genius is actually a superhero and the world has been »
