In tow with a season greeting, Queen Latifah taped a video viral to remind people that the annual People's Choice Awards will take place as the new year unfolds. "I'm here on Hollywood shooting some secret videos that will surprise you. I can't tell you exactly what we're doing, so you have to tune in January 6 to find out," Latifah said.
In the 36th year, Latifah will be the host and Mark Burnett will be the producer. Burnett is the same man who got people in awe when he staged Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno to drop his nude bottom on Eminem's face at 2009 MTV Movie Awards. CBS will air People's Choice live from Nokia Theater starting 9/8c. Announcement is still awaiting on who will be the stage act.

Last year's He's Just Not That Into You - a little film with a huge cast - seems to have set a standard for Hollywood's tentpole Valentine's Day output so in 2010 we're going to get the rather - do we dare say it - unimaginatively titled Valentine's Day from Pretty Woman director Garry Marshall... and the trailer has just been released over at First Showing.
With a cast list that just goes on and on (see below) and on and on (with Julia Roberts wedged in for good measure) we have to be honest and admit that we haven't got even the foggiest idea of what it's all about, and though the trailer focusses on the blithely unsentimental and cynical characters, the unloved ones who aren't having a very good (valentine's) day, we're certain that's just promotional miss-direction - this is going to be horribly saccharine, and very very annoying. »

While the upcoming romantic comedy Valentine’s Day may have gotten tabloid notice thanks to the supposed romance that Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner developed while working on the film, the new trailer for the film looks like it might just be able to stand on its own without the accompanying gossip to help it.
Valentine’s Day features a huge ensemble cast full of big name stars. Among said stars are: Julia Roberts and niece Emma (it’ll definitely be interesting to see the younger Roberts hold her own in the same movie as her superstar, award-winning aunt); two of Hollywood’s most lusted after actresses, Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel; That 70s Show costars Ashton Kutcher and Topher Grace; Grey’s Anatomy’s Drs. McDreamy and McSteamy, Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane; movie and music stars Jamie Foxx and Queen Latifah; funny man Bradley Cooper; America’s current »

Did you like the movie Love Actually? Are you a fan of Ashton Kutcher, Kathy Bates, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jessicas Alba, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Shirley MacLaine, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Queen Latifah, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Eric Dane, Hector Elizondo, Jennifer Garner, Emma Roberts or Julia Roberts?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you’re probably going to want to see director Garry Marshall’s (Pretty Woman) new movie Valentine’s Day next February 12th. That’s because the movie is following the playbook of Love Actually and loading itself up with tons of movie stars and telling the story over the course of one day. It just so happens the story takes place on Valentine’s Day.
As someone who really enjoyed Love Actually, I’m very curious about this movie. Also, with a cast like this, how can I not be curious? »

Finally, there's a Valentine's Day trailer with Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift in it! One problem? It's not in English. Meh. You take what you can get, eh? In this trailer (screencaps below), Lautner and Swift finally appear as the homecoming king and queen (not to mention football player and cheerleader) that they are in the film. Of course, the film is absolutely smothered with talent (cast including Julia Roberts, Patrick Dempsey, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Topher Grace, Joe Jonas, Eric Dane, Shirley MacLaine, George Lopez, and, many »

SnagFilms.com is reporting that the rights to the U.S. film version of Stieg Larsson's best-selling The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (and its sequels) are going to Sony as of today. One of the novel's major characters is "bisexual tattooed hacker detective Lisbeth Salander." There's already a Swedish film adaptation, starring Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth. Here's a clip:
Rhapsody.com has wrapped up the decade in music, including a write-up on queer pop and rock, from k.d. lang to Le Tigre to Lady Gaga. Although I'm not so sure I like the "pink face" term they're pushing, I like the inclusion of Queen Latifah. She's so gay friendly, isn't she?

Stars of The Hills are all excited at Lauren Conrad's literary effort being brought to the big screen, but they're more excited at picking actual actors to play them. Earlier, Stephanie Pratt revealed she wanted Queen Latifah to portray her in La Candy. Now, we get to hear Kristin and Brody's take on the matter.
Out of the multitude of actors and actresses the world has to offer, it was difficult for both reality stars to pick just one. If they couldn't play themselves, who could do a good (even better, we bet) job?

The self-proclaimed God of Rap has lots to celebrate. Jay-z earned $35 million over the past year -- mostly from a sold-out world tour and his stakes in the New Jersey Nets and 40/40 bar chain -- making him hip-hop's top player, according to Forbes. (No. 2 Diddy tallied $30 million.) It looks like 2010 will be another bumper year for Jay-z Inc. Parlux, which did perfumes for Jessica Simpson and Queen Latifah, recently inked a licensing deal with his firm Iconic Fragrances to release signature scents for Rihanna and Kanye West. (A Jay-z cologne will follow in 2011.) While other celebs usually take perfume payments in cash, Jay-z requested stock, which could make Iconic a major Parlux shareholder. He wasn't boasting when he rapped, "Every deal I ever made set precedent." Okay, maybe a little bit. -- TB

The couple – who celebrated their third anniversary last month – are said to have agreed the time is right to add to their family and give three-year-old daughter Suri a sibling. A friend of the couple told America’s Ok! magazine: “She no longer feels like she’s just Mrs. Cruise. She’s her own person again. She and Tom have their disagreements, but deep down they love each other very much. That’s what is important.”
Tom, 47, and 30-year-old Katie – who met in April 2005 – have been contemplating having another baby for some time. It had been reported Katie – who recently finished shooting ‘The Extra Man Mary’ and ‘Don't Be Afraid of the Dark’ - wanted to star in another box office hit before she expanded her family. A source said: "Katie had to put movies on hold after Suri.” Katie's last film 'Mad Money' failed to impress at »
