Australian pop singer-turned-"X Factor" host, Dannii Minogue, is up for another feature film role. According to Ananova, the younger sister of famed songstress Kylie Minogue has been signed in to star as Rio Ruse, an MI6 agent who is also a lab technician in British spy thriller entitled "Vauxhall Crossed".
Though her role is reportedly a small one, it will still have some significant effects to the plot as Ruse is set to save fellow agent played by Hugo Speer in a shoot-out. This part won't be Minogue's first experience starring in a movie as she has minor role in Jan Wentz's 2004 "The Porter". Minogue will be joining the cast that include also Ewen MacIntosh and Sarah Jayne Dunn.
Aside from Minogue and other actors rumored to be involved, it is said that the producers are considering to cast Sienna Miller's former boyfriend, Rhys Ifans, to be the psychotic villain.

Sometimes, even The A.V. Club isn't impervious to the sexy allure of ostensible cultural garbage. Which is why there's I Watched This On Purpose, our feature exploring the impulse to spend time with trashy-looking yet in some way irresistible entertainments, playing the long odds in hopes of a real reward. And a good time. Cultural infamy: Critics and audiences alike found the 1996 Pauly Shore/Stephen Baldwin vehicle Bio-Dome to be an abomination unto the Lord, an affront to the gods of cinema, and also a very bad movie, bad enough to be considered the gold standard of crapitude in Shore's oeuvre. It currently holds the distinction of having the single lowest Metacritic score in history (it scored 1 out of 100), though it does have a comparatively robust 8 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Co-star Kylie Minogue has called it the single biggest mistake of her...

New American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi was so surprised to be offered the job that she nearly fell off her chair.
The music producer was stunned to be given the post, but insists she will add to the chemistry of the TV talent show.
And she is determined to get on with her fellow judges - including Paula Abdul, with whom she collaborated on Kylie Minogue's hit Spinning Around.
Speaking about the moment she was offered the role, DioGuardi says, "I almost fell off the chair" and adds that she hopes to create "a new chemistry as well as keeping the old".
And asked how she felt about judging wannabe pop stars, she says, "I'm a little nervous. I'm going to be a straight shooter and say it like I see it and maintain that philosophy.
"I'm somebody who's really honest and gives an opinion. If I feel I need to be hard, I will be. And if I feel I need to be more nurturing, I will be."

There could be a whole new album from Coldplay this year after a report said that there are many unused songs in the band's inventory. The Sun reported that the writing sessions of "Viva la Vida", released in June this year, was so productive that the cut songs can make up a new compilation set.
The band worked on "Viva" with producer Brian Eno and spawned an album which has successful chart history. It was sold 721,000 copies on the first week and went on going platinum in U.S. "The Viva La Vida sessions were incredibly fruitful," a source told The Sun. "They gelled brilliantly with Brian and recorded much more music than they could fit on one album."
Yet, the source added that the band may have to take time in the middle of their world tour to return to the studio to do some polishing and additional songs.

Amy Winehouse's wacky – and waxy – likeness has now been officially immortalized, along with her tattoos. The singer's parents, Mitch and Janis, unveiled their daughter's wax figure at Madame Tussauds London on Wednesday, with her father calling its likeness "perfection." "This is the reward for her musical achievements and her talent," he told reporters. The waxwork's outfit replicates the one Winehouse wore to 2007's Brit Awards – a bright yellow mini-dress with towering black heels. Microphone in hand, the figure stands in the museum's "Music Zone" among such other chart-toppers as Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake and Kylie Minogue. Although the real-life Winehouse,

Former Smiths frontman Morrissey has generated something of a "miserabilist" reputation over the years. His performance at the recent O2 Wireless Festival did little to dispel that thought after he sarcastically claimed to be "absolutely thrilled to death" about Kylie Minogue's OBE.
