Cheezy Horror Trailers Vol. 2 (DVD Review)

Ever since the spot-on mock trailers in Rodriguez and Tarantino’s Grindhouse, companies have been cashing in, releasing collections of whatever forgotten theatrical trailers they can get their hands on.

First off, I highly doubt that anyone out there is going to buy anything from a company called Cheezy Flicks.  I doubt even more that anyone would even pick up a DVD titled Cheezy Horror, and if you’re like me, the tagline, “Some of the Cheesiest Horror Trailers of All Time,” will bury this before you even press play.   Since I was bored, I counted the word “Cheesy” appears 14 times in various derivatives on the packaging, a word which makes the bile rise in the back of my throat.

Despite all that, there are some fun trailers here that, unless you’re a decade older than me, you’ve never seen before, ranging from Vincent Price’s The Tingler to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. »
