Why don't people in real life put on a costume, get a few gadgets and fight crime? Because the idea is completely bonkers. This flick based on a comic book by Mark Millar features a group of young people putting on the spandex and, as the title suggests, kicking some ass. This looks pretty cool, but we'll find out for sure on April 16.
Brendan Fraser stars as a father whose children are dying from a genetic disorder. Desperate to save them he funds the work of an eccentric but brilliant researcher (Harrison Ford) in hopes of finding a cure. I suspect this will be a good old fashioned tear-jerker. If that's your cup of tea you can check it out on January 22.

Suddenly, it's the plot du jour: Old friends, younger wives, and even younger children get together on a vacation. Sometimes, it leads to a Guitar Hero commercial. Sometimes, it leads to Murder! And sometimes, as in the case of the Adam Sandler comedy Grown Ups (which just debuted its trailer), it leads to a Saturday Night Live cast reunion. Sandler and his SNL cronies David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider team up in the film with Kevin James, who unexpectedly had a bigger hit this year than any of them. »

Check out the first trailer for Sony Pictures' "Grown Ups," starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Maya Rudolph, Colin Quinn and Norm MacDonald. The comedy opens on June 25th and is helmed by Dennis Dugan from the writing by Fred Wolf. Keep up to date with future additions in the "Grown Ups" group. Grown Ups, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade, is a comedy about five friends and former teammates who reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives (Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph) and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house... »

Adam Sandler and his ‘Happy Madison’ production company have been on a steady roll since the mid 1990s and their string of films starring Sandler himself. As of late, the company has been known for smaller, yet equally humorous, films such as Grandma’s Boy and the Deuce Bigelow franchise.
Now, the team is reuniting with Sandler’s cast of regulars and newest on-screen partner Kevin James for a brand new comedy called Grown Ups. The film is about a group of five boys who grow apart over the years and finally come together to reconnect and find their childhood once again. I like to call this one something like The Sand Lot: 30 Years Later.
Sandler takes the lead in this one, in his first comedy role since this year’s Funny People, with a familiar cast of characters joining him. David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, and Kevin James »

Columbia Pictures has released the teaser trailer for the new comedy “Grown Ups.”
Five friends and former teammates reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.
The film reunites Adam Sandler with several of his “Saturday Night Live” co-stars, including David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and Kevin James. Also stars Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi, Maria Bello and Gary Busey.
“Grown Ups”, directed by Dennid Dugan – the filmmaker behind of some of Sandler’s earlier films like “Happy Gilmore” and “Big Daddy,” will be in theatres on June 25, 2010.

Columbia Pictures has just released the teaser trailer for their upcoming comedy Grown Ups, staring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade. While all five actors have previously worked together, this film marks the first time such a comedic ensemble has been put together in a starring role.
Here’s the synopsis:
Five friends and former teammates reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.
While I’m sure this film is not going to be anywhere near as funny as it should be (considering all the talent involved), there is still some hope as Sandler, James, Rock, Schneider »

Hey look, the gang's all here! Grown Ups (previously known as The Lake House) is an upcoming comedy that re-unites Adam Sandler with SNL buddies David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider (not that he and Schneider have been apart for very long). Throw Kevin James into the mix, and you've got a recipe for a pretty huge summer blockbuster. The first teaser trailer has hit the web over at Yahoo! [1], and it's chock full of nostalgia. The only thing that seems to be missing is... a plot? In a strange way, the lack of some inane gimmick is kind of refreshing. All we know is that the movie is about five high school buddies who get together thirty years later for a holiday weekend getaway. Sure most of the humour seems painfully low brow, but there is an undeniable chemistry between the cast. It seems a bit like Couples Retreat »

Kevin Smith is coming to Blu-ray in a big way on November 17 with the debut of Chasing Amy and Clerks bundled with previously released Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back in The Kevin Smith Collection.
I currently have three of these loaded sets up for grabs in this contest. Send in the completed entry form below to throw your name into the hat. You can also return any or every day and enter again for as long as the contest is active.
Clerks is one wild day in the life of a pair of overworked counter jockeys whose razor-sharp wit and on-the-job antics give a whole new meaning to customer service. Chasing Amy: Filled with Smith's unique ear for dialogue and insight into relationships, Chasing Amy offers a thoughtful, funny look at how perceptions alter lives, and how obsession and self-doubt skew reality. Grown Ups is the movie that Adam Sandler made so that all his good friends can buy an extra house. I guess Chris Rock and Kevin James probably don't need the help, but Rob Schneider has gone nowhere fast (or maybe not so fast), and David Spade's one trick seems to have run its course, too, unless you're a really big fan of tacky DirecTV commercials.
About a year ago, you'd think this would be a can't-miss prospect, just because of Sandler's track record and the small interest generated by re-teaming all these Saturday Night Live alumni, but he's returning about $50 million less per movie than he did with The Longest Yard back in 2005. And that's just the "Sandler movies," for which this one clearly qualifies.
So can he turn it around and score a massive hit, or are the slowly eroding returns a sign of something? We'll find out next summer, »

Grown Ups, the upcoming film from Dennis Dugan (the director of various early Adam Sandler hits as well as recent clunkers like You Don't Mess with the Zohan) which surrounds its star with other comedy luminaries such as Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and Kevin James in a tale of five high-schoolfriends who regroup to mourn the death of their basketball coach in the same place where many years previously they celebrated their greatest victory, has just released its first teaser over on Yahoo.
To be cruelly honest it looks much like the standard slightly-below par we've come to expect on the big-screen from Sandler and his coterie of Saturday Night Live alumni, but that's not to say it won't be completely without laughs.
Check out the trailer below and be sure to let us know what you think.

Adam Sandler's latest movie, Grown Ups, reunites him with several of his Saturday Night Live co-stars, including David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and Kevin James (filling in for a role that certainly would have gone to Chris Farley had he not passed away). The reunion is fitting, since the movie, which Sandler co-wrote, tells the story of five childhood friends and basketball teammates who reunite 30 years later and spend a weekend together with their families.
The first trailer for Grown Ups has arrived online courtesy of Yahoo!. Directed by Happy Gilmore's Dennis Dugan, Grown Ups opens June 25, 2010. Watch the trailer below.

The first teaser trailer for Adam Sandler's latest, Grown Ups, is now online for your viewing pleasure. Gathering all of his mates together - Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James and Rob Schneider, he's decided to get cutting edge with a story that crosses the globe for a searing look at morality, violence and… Okay, not so much. Grown Ups is more about the amiable story of four friends who grew up together, but haven't seen each other in a while and regroup to attend their old basketball coach's funeral. Cue the expected...

Here’s the first trailer for Adam Sandler’s new movie, ‘Grown Ups’. This is a movie that they were filming down the road from where I stayed when I was in Boston and I’m gutted I didn’t go along to try and get on set as I know someone popped down and he ended up chatting with Salma Hayek! It looks like they will have had good fun making this movie. The HD version of the trailer is on Yahoo or Sd embedded below.
As well as Sandler, the movie stars Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek with Steve Buscemi coming in the line-up somewhere too. The movie is about a group of friends who grew up together and 30 years later meet up to meet their families and spend some time away together. It’s a simple story but looks pretty funny to m but then, »

Columbia Pictures has released the first trailer for Grown Ups and, considering that it boasts a powerfully comedic cast, it comes off kind of lame.

Fans of Adam Sandler's production troupe, Happy Madison, this is your lucky day. Putting Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Kevin James in the same movie may seem like a good idea, but you know what would be even better? Kick Kevin James out of the equation and fill his slot with some other 90s era SNL alum and make this a full on reunion. The truth is that Kevin James is just a Chris Farley fill in here. He.s standing in Chris.s spot and, were Farley still alive to fill it himself, I think this trailer might actually be funny instead of what it is: Kevin James falling down a mountain in an unfunny manner. Chris Farley, now he knew how to fall down a mountain. Still, here.s the trailer for Grown Ups, a painful reminder of what the world lost. If I was to create an Onion parody trailer of a comedy from Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison, I could scarcely do better than this completely real trailer for Sandler's completely real new comedy Grown Ups, out June 2010. The cast (Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider), the impossibly hot wives (Salma Hayek, Maria Bello), the on-the-nose title, the look-at-me-i'm-eccentric hair on Schneider, the laughs that gleefully spring from bodily harm and bodily fluids -- it all edges so close to self-parody that I'm not completely convinced it's not supposed to be taken as such. »

You know that Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Chris Rock are good guys because they let their friends Rob Schneider and David Spade share the spotlight despite the complete lack of talent or star power from those two. But we can enjoy another safe, middle-of-the-road comedy from comedians who lost all desire for subversive and challenging humor in their movies (although to be fair, Rock excels when performing his own material). I’m sure it will be successful at the box office, but I’ll be spending time on films I find funny rather than those that make me wistful for a time when Sandler was willing to be madcap enough to set Bradley Whitford on fire in one scene and have him perfectly fine in the next.

Now this is a comedy I can be excited about! It's that time of year again, when all the studios start releasing early teasers for their big summer movies. There's really not much to this, just a few quick scenes, but it's a great intro that's definitely made me more excited for this. Check it out below!
