Eliza Dushku Brings Boyfriend to 'Dollhouse'

Joss Whedon refuses to go flat in the last few episodes of "Dollhouse". A casting news has emerged via EW that the executive producer has tapped Eliza Dushku's real-life boyfriend, Rick Fox, to guest star in an episode before the show wraps it all on January 22.
Fox will appear as an Active on January 8 episode called "Getting Closer". EW wrote, "Fox's Doll will be seen rising from the imprint chair after having been given his original personality back. Next thing you know [spoiler alert!], he's being released into the wild along with dozens of other Dolls."
A preview of "Getting Closer" has actually been given last week, showing that the Dollhouse is under liquidation threat. Summer Glau also appears as her recurring role, Bennett Halverson.
This is not the first time Rick Fox shares screen with someone close to him. In 2007, he made a cameo as the bodyguard of Vanessa Williams »

I think it's getting serious: Eliza Dushku and real-life boyfriend Rick Fox are playing Dollhouse together! Sources confirm to me exclusively that the hoops star-turned-actor (Dirt, One Tree Hill) will appear as an Active in the Jan. 8 episode of the soon-to-expire drama. In the don't-blink-or-you'll-miss-it cameo, Fox's Doll will be seen rising from the imprint chair after having been given his original personality back. Next thing you know (spoiler alert!), he's being released into the wild along with dozens of other Dolls. Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams said it 'would be fun' to have a musical episode of the show at the end of its run. The 46-year-old plays magazine editor Wilhemina Slater in the hit Us show and denied that the new boxset includes a musical episode. She said: 'Sadly not. We were originally going to do a musical episode in season two, which was going to mark Wilhemina's return to Mode. It looks like they're really keeping things in the family on Ugly Betty these days. Following the casting of Becki Newton's brother as Marc's new romantic interest Troy comes this one. Vanessa Williams' sibling, Chris Williams, has been pulled in by the powers that be to play Wilhelmina's twin.
Before you raise your eyebrows and wonder what the writers are doing introducing some long-lost sibling to the story, let us explain. Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly revealed that Williams (the male one) will be portraying a drag queen version of our very own Mode diva.

Vanessa Williams will appear together with her brother Chris Williams on "Ugly Betty". According to Entertainment Weekly, Chris will make a cameo appearance in an episode of show that will be aired in early 2010. He is set to portray Wilhediva Hater, the drag queen doppelganger of Vanessa's character Wilhelmina Slater.
Of Chris' character, a tipster said that Wilhediva will be someone who has been regularly impersonating Wilhelmina at a drag club. Learning about the impersonator, Wilhelmina then tries to shut the act down, but realizes that he could sub for her during meetings and events. The two eventually end up working together.
Chris Williams is best known for his portrayal of Krazee-Eyez Killa on 2002 TV series "Curb Your Enthusiasm". He has also starred on several other TV shows, including "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", and "Californication". "Ugly Betty" is doing a family casting once again after previously hiring Becki Newton's real-life brother Matt Newton to play the role of the uber-hot Troy. This time, the comedy series is welcoming Chris Williams, who by the last name, is known as the brother of Vanessa Williams aka Wilhelmina Slater.
Entertainment Weekly that got the scoop said Chris will be featured in an early 2010 episode as Willie's "drag queen doppelganger, Wilhediva Hater." According to a tipster, Willie is hearing that someone is impersonating her regularly as a drag in a club. Trying to shut the act down, she realizes that the impersonator could sub for her during meetings and events. They end up working together.

First, it's been all but confirmed by ABC that the show is moving to Wednesday nights in January. So long, bad ratings and cancellation rumors!

Ugly Betty debuted in 2006 and follows young Betty Suarez (America Ferrera) as she navigates her way through the world of high-fashion, working at the trendy magazine Mode. Others in the cast include Eric Mabius, Tony Plana, Ana Ortiz, Becki Newton, Mark Indelicato, Michael Urie, Vanessa Williams, and Ashley Jensen.
The series was a modest hit for the 2006-07 season with a 3.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 11.3 million total viewers. The following year, the prized demo remained essentially the same (3.6) but dropped in viewers to 9.4 million.

"Glee" is shining in the nomination list released by Satellite Awards for its 14th year. The new musical by Fox makes the entry in every TV category possible through the show itself as well as the actors. The nominees were selected through voting by International Press Academy's members which included more than 100 entertainment journalists.
Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison represent the show for the categories of Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, Lead Actress and Lead Actor in Comedy or Musical respectively. The show itself is being put under Television Series, Comedy or Musical.

We'd heard earlier reports that Ugly Betty would be moving to a more hospitable Wednesday night time slot. However, E! Online reported earlier this week that Ugly Betty might instead be limping toward cancellation.
Why, Ugly Betty? Why?!
There's no doubting that Ugly Betty's third season was a debacle in almost every way — but the first six episodes of this season have been the best Betty ever. I think it still has life, and apparently ABC does too. There's been lots of talk lately that the network is going to move the show to Wednesday nights and partner it with the breakout hits Modern Family and Cougar Town.
Here are six reasons I think Ugly Betty deserves a save:
