Megan Fox Regrets Getting Fired from Transformers Franchise
Megan Fox recently opened up about her diva-like behavior that got her fired from the Transformers franchise. The now 31-year old actress is currently filming her new movie, Shadow Girl, but back in 2009, she was the star of the hugely successful Transformers movie series. Fox now calls her experience working on those sci-fi-fi adventures, as well as the fallout, a giant learning experience, though she didn't see that at the time. Megan Fox now looks back at getting fired from Transformers as the low point in her career.

Megan Fox recently sat down for an interview with Cosmopolitan U.K. where she detailed why getting fired from Transformers and her diva-like behavior was the low point of her career. Fox had this to say.

All I had to do was apologize — and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc.”

Megan Fox Opens Up About Being Fired From ‘Transformers:' 'I Really Thought I was Joan of Arc'
Megan Fox has seemingly been out of the spotlight in recent years, but is stepping back in, gracing the cover of this month’s issue of UK Cosmopolitan.

Once as hot as you can get in Hollywood, a "low point" in her career came in 2009 when she was unceremoniously fired from the cast of Transformers 3 after saying director Michael Bay wanted “to be like Hitler on his sets”.

When talking about the incident in a 2011 interview with GQ, Bay reveled that producer Steven Spielberg had told him to fire Fox after hearing about the Hitler comparison. Spielberg later denied that claim.

"Marriage is hard. It's work. I think for anyone," the 44-year-old actor admits. "When you get to the point that we have, you have kids and you've been married for awhile ... You just take it day by day."

The couple met on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004, tying the knot in 2010.
