The audience of Jimmy Kimmel Live is off to a strong lead in the competition for Most Inappropriate Response to a Double Entendre Uttered by a New Moon Lead. Kimmel's interview with Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson won't air until Friday, the night the film opens, but Hulu has posted an excerpt. In it, Kimmel asks Lautner about his physical transformation. Did you hear he gained 30 lbs. for the film?! I'm tired of typing that, can't imagine how Lautner feels having to repeat it. Perhaps that's why he's trying to vary his answers and producing quotes like this one. »

Not a lot of people know that actor Eric Bana, familiar to most from roles in the likes of Star Trek, Munich and Ang Lee's Hulk, is a massive petrol head. With the release of Love the Beast, Bana aims to change that. It's a love letter to his pride and joy, a Ford Gt Falcon Coupe which he's owned since he was 15, a documentary about his obsession with it and with racing, and the mourning attached to his crash during the Targa rally in 2007. Along the way Bana interviews the likes of Jeremy Clarkson, Jay Leno and... »

It may be struggling with its lack of quality dramas and the albatross that is The Jay Leno Show, but when it comes to comedy, no one can touch NBC. The Office may have grown a tad stale, but their Thursday nights have the killer combo of 30 Rock and Community. Now it looks like another fantastic sitcom could be headed the network’s way with former-Seinfeld writer and Borat director Larry Charles at the helm of a delightful premise about fanboys who decide that instead sitting shiva for their favorite canceled TV show they’ll just make it themselves. Hit the jump for details.
According to Variety, Charles would write, exec produce and direct and untitled semi-script sitcom centering on a group of sci-fi fanboys in a small town who shoot their own version of a canceled TV show. I love that. It’s beyond the traditional fanboyism of online devotion, »

Q: I'm curious about Project Runway's Christopher Straub. The ring he wears suggests he has a husband / partner / significant other. What details might you know on this? A: “I am married!” Straub tells the Flying Monkey. “Well, not legally, but Ronnie and I had a commitment ceremony two-and-a-half years ago. We've been together for over five years. He's a little scientist, and we really don't understand what each other does for a living.”

Talk show host Jay Leno is doing everything he can to pick his measly ratings up. On Monday, November 16, "Twilight: New Moon" star Taylor Lautner will be making an appearance on the show. Lautner plays a werewolf by the name of Jacob Black in the film. While that's good news for "Twilight" fans, even better news? A brand new, Lautner will be bringing with him a brand new, never-before-seen trailer for the second installment in Summit Entertainment's hit vampire saga. It looks like Leno's ratings are sucking more than we though. Lautner's appearance along with the "New Moon" trailer should put some bite into next Monday's episode at least.

In the New York Times, Bill Carter writes ,"very few women make it inside the writing rooms for late-night television hosts, despite that women make up a larger proportion of their audience than men. There are no female writers on the new “The Jay Leno Show,” none on “Late Show with David Letterman,” none on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.”" Based on his article and Nell Scovell's personal account in Vanity Fair, I have come to understand why the odds are stacked against my wedging my paw in the door. I still have hope (also known as a delusions). Brooke Hundley -- the "tubby temptress" that had an affair with Espn's Steve Phillips -- spoke to the media for the first time this morning, talking to Kate Snow on Good Morning America. It wasn't an extraordinary interview by any means; Hundley claims that actions the media has described as "stalking" were more like desperate attempts to alert people to what was going on between her and Phillips. You can believe what you want about that.
The most interesting part of the interview, shown below, is that after all the verbal abuse she took -- including being called the C-word and "whore" -- an innocuous Jay Leno joke about her looks was her "breaking point." The joke can be seen in the story: Jay compares Hundley to Phillips' wife and says "What was he thinking?" He then says, "I realize you can't have steak every day, but please..."
So, there you have it. »

The reason I don't particularly like The Jay Leno Show (besides the fact that he's taking up five hours a week on the NBC schedule) comes down to three words: "it's not funny."
Usually I post videos because they're good or funny or interesting or clever or strange. I'm posting this one to show you the type of humor you're missing if you don't watch Leno's show. Talk about forced and going on too long. Jeez.

Brooke Hundley is shocked—shocked!—that she’s “been called a homewrecker” and Jay Leno used her “to get a cheap laugh” after her affair with Steve Phillips got them both fired from Espn. The 22-year-old talks about the scandal for the first time, telling Good Morning America that she regrets her mistakes—and understands scorned wife Marni Phillips’ pain. "I think the only thing I could really say to her is that as someone whose family has been ripped apart over this just as much as someone who has, you know, 500 phone calls, emails, letters, paparazzi outside my apartment,... »

If you're anything like me (first of all, God help you), then you've noticed that The Jay Leno Show is slowly starting to morph into the old Tonight Show.
Thankfully, Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel finally put the last nail in The Jay Leno Show's coffin by giving the big faced host his own desk.

If you were one of the dozens of people who were watching The Jay Leno show on Monday, you might have been wondering why the "Headlines" segment came right after Jay's monologue instead of right before the local news. Were you stumbling upon a rerun of the old Tonight Show that was airing by mistake? Nope. It seems that, because of the low-and-sinking ratings Leno has been getting at ten, the producers have decided to "shake up" the format ... to make it look like the old Tonight Show.
Of course, changing a pretty moribund format back to a format that's even older isn't exactly a radical shift. But the producers are likely betting that returning to the successful Tonight formula is the way to go.
Here's the problem: people don't have the same ingrained expectations of a 10 Pm talk show that they have of an 11:30 show. Instead of tuning »

The Jay Leno show at 10 Pm on NBC has been an interesting ride. The comic recently lamented he missed his original late night spot, and now media number crunchers have sounded the "Fail" alarms for a show that has booked a wide variety of interesting gueats. The earlier timeslot for Leno is historically a berth for drama. All this comes as .The Jay Leno Show. - just two months into a two-year deal - is being heralded by industry insiders as a total ratings boondoggle, thanks to the timing of it, not the host or his talent. MSNBC quoted Marc Berman.s Mediaweek column, .The Programming Insider,. which labeled the show as Doa: .It.s an enormous flop,. said »

Just when I thought network programming was so bad that it had to be done by a bunch of drunk monkeys (see: NBCSucks), ABC goes and proves me wrong by moving Ugly Betty to Wednesday nights, rectifying their bone-headed mistake of moving the show to Fridays. Kristin at E! reported it as as a rumor this morning, but a source very close to the show has confirmed to AfterElton.com the move is definite although the time hasn't been decided for sure.
The idea behind the move is to pair Betty with ABC's freshman hits Modern Family and Cougartown and actually makes a lot of sense. In fact, it actually gives ABC quite a two-hour block of comedy to promote the heck out of and, with any luck, will return Betty to its status as a top twenty show.
As I've said ever since Betty came back, I think this »

Talk about traumatic!
NBC recently announced that they are canceling Trauma, their new show about paramedics set in San Francisco (although they have said they will air the remaining few episodes).
This is a shame for gay viewers, because the show's cast includes Tyler, a major gay character who is actually complicated and gets actual screentime. In the October 26th Halloween episode “Masquerade,” Tyler, played by Kevin Rankin, revealed a mask of a different kind when he came out to his riding partner, Boone, an African American man who is clearly uncomfortable with gays.
In other words, the show is "going there" on the complicated emotions and politics of homophobia in the African American community.
Recently, we talked to Kevin, who might also be familiar to viewers from his reoccurring role as a paralyzed athelete on Friday Night Lights. The interview took place before NBC had made a final decision regarding Trauma's fate. »
