'FlashForward' - A561984

8 December 2009 4:47 AM, PST | AirlockAlpha.com | See recent Airlock Alpha news »

This review may contain spoilers. The mostly consistent show left on a high note, with a lot of our questions being answered, and even more intriguing ones popping up. This week we got to see the infamous .D. Gibbons. again, and we found out the truth about Zoey.s (Gabrielle Union) flash forward. It turns out that she didn.t see Demetri (John Cho) at their wedding in April, she saw herself at his funeral. Not exactly a beautiful thought, though apparently no one wears black to his funeral and it.s on an exotic beach. Lloyd (Jack Davenport) and Simon (Domonic Monaghan) admitted to the whole world that the flash forwards were the result of an experiment gone wrong, one that they are responsible for. Simon is seemingly apologetic when he.s in front of a camera, but he seems to have »

FlashForward Season 1, Episode 10 Review: A561984

5 December 2009 5:54 AM, PST | TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news »

Those frustrated with the slow roll out of revelations so far in FlashForward will likely be quite satisfied with 'A561984.' In the episode we see Lloyd and Simon take responsibility for the blackout, learn more about Demetri's murder and the woman who phoned him, see D. Gibbons and learn about those strange pylons in Somalia. All together, these are some pretty significant reveals.

In 'A561984,' Agents Benford and Noh headed to Hong Kong against the explicit instructions of their boss, Wedeck. They are there in search of that mysterious woman who telephoned Demetri and told him that he would be murdered. It is from this point onwards that things start to get silly.

Having determined that the woman they are looking for is Persian, the pair strike upon the idea that the most logical place to look for her would be at a Persian restaurant. Moments after suggesting this, »

TV Recap: ‘Flash Forward: A561984′

4 December 2009 1:15 PM, PST | The Flickcast | See recent The Flickcast news »

This is the last episode of ABC’s FlashForward we will see until March. Yeah, until March. Can’t say I’m happy about that. Well, at least this episode went out on a bang.

We open on the mystery woman (Shoreh Aghdashloo), who informed Demetri Noh (John Cho) that he will be assassinated. She’s sitting at her desk, her own Mosaic chart laid out on the glass spread like a spider-web with a picture of  Cho with the number value: A561984. She is watching the classic A Christmas Carol.

A plane lands in Hong Kong, on it Benford (Joseph Fiennes) and Cho get off, discussing their plan to track down Aghdashloo.  They twice ignore calls from Wedeck (Courtney B. Vance) only to be met by someone with “Kid N Play” hair, who calls himself Marshall Vogel from the Hong Kong FBI office. Vogel tells the Dynamic Duo to get out. »

1 December 2009 12:05 AM, PST | Celebrity Mania | See recent Celebrity Mania news »

Vanessa Hudgens is featured in a new bloopers clip which sees the mistakes Neutrogena's spokesmodels had made when filming commercials for the famous skin care products. Brought forth by Just Jared Jr., the short video offers a look at the "High School Musical" actress giggling and bouncing when noticing that she has made errors.

In addition to the Zac Efron's girlfriend, those included in the clip are "Hotel for Dogs" beauty Emma Roberts, "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere, "Bring It On" actress Gabrielle Union, and former Miss USA Susie Castillo. All of them are seen showing off various face expressions upon realizing the mistakes they made during the filming.

Vanessa Hudgens made her break for her portrayal of Gabriella Montez in "High School Musical" series. Last seen reprising the character in "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", the 20-year-old had released her new musical film "Bandslam" in U.S. theaters in August. »

New Characters Coming to 'FlashForward'

7 November 2009 10:28 AM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

The following article was originally posted on hyperMosaic.com by Sam McPherson. You can read the original article there.

If you haven’t already caught on to it, FlashForward is getting into a habit of playing its hand slowly, especially as far as cast goes. As opposed to many other serialized shows, where most of the main characters were introduced in the first episodes, FlashForward means to add to its main cast gradually. We’ve already seen this in the introduction of characters like Gabrielle Union’s Zoey and Dominic Monaghan’s Simon, and we should be seeing it in the future, according to showrunner David Goyer.

“We’re introducing quite a few new characters down the line,” Goyer told MTV. Among those characters is the Japanesse woman from Bryce’s vision. “…her name is Keiko,” Goyer revealed, though he was deliberately tight-lipped about any more details, instead simply telling »

'FlashForward' Episode 1.07: 'The Gift'

5 November 2009 8:46 PM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Episode Title: "The Gift"

Written By: Lisa Zwerline & Ian Goldberg

Synopsis: The specific intentions of the Blue Hand become clearer as agents Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes), Demetri Noh (John Cho) and Al Gough (Lee Thompson Young) dig deep into the organization's seedy underbelly. But that's not the only difficulty that Noh and Gough have to contend with, as each agent deals with the life-or-death implications of their experiences during the blackout.

Changing The Game: Well, how about that? Despite having a very vivid flash-forward — and a shared one, at that — Agent Al Gough was able to commit suicide, meaning that the deaths of those without flash-forwards isn't quite as set in stone as we were initially led to believe. How is this going to effect Demetri's attitude going forward? How does it possibly derail the Mosaic Investigation? The only thing we can say with any degree of certainty is that the flash-forwards aren't inevitable scenarios. »

Union Sickened By Gang Rape Story

5 November 2009 2:06 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Gabrielle Union has stepped up her anti-rape activism after a headlines about a "sickening" gangbang at a school party brought back horrific memories of her own teenage sexual assault.

The Cradle 2 The Grave star was 19 when she was raped at gunpoint by a man who attacked her as she was closing up a store where she worked.

Union has been very vocal about the ordeal in the past and news stories about other teenagers who are raped brings the painful memory back.

And when the actress read about a 15 year old who was gang raped as she waited for her father after a school dance, she was left "sad more than anything".

Schoolmates and passersby are believed to have watched the ordeal, but it wasn't until a dance organiser overheard one boy talking about what he had seen outside that the police were called.

In a blog, Union writes, "After googling the gang rape story in Richmond and reading comments on blogs, it just leaves me sickened and really sad.

"When I was 19 years old, I was raped. I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me… I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else… not me.

"That's why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centres.

"My goal is to never hear the words 'Me too' from someone, after I say, 'I was raped.'" »

David Goyer Thinks This Week's 'FlashForward' Is 'The Best Episode So Far'

4 November 2009 8:00 AM, PST | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

A massive 12.4 million viewers tuned into "FlashForward" for the series premiere in September, with that number slowly petering off as the weeks have worn on.

But those original viewers might want to cancel their Thursday night plans and check out what "FlashForward" has in store this week, as showrunner David Goyer described the upcoming installment as "the best episode so far."

"I honestly think it's maybe the best thing that I've been involved in, absent or including 'Batman Begins' and 'The Dark Knight,'" Goyer told MTV News in an exclusive interview. "I'm that proud of it."

Titled "The Gift," this week's episode focuses on Agents Al Gough (Lee Thompson Young) and Demetri Noh's (John Cho) continued investigation into the mysterious Blue Hand, which Goyer described as an organization "with a very specific purpose in mind." Over the course of their investigation, a shadowy figure by the »

The Stock Market Takes A Dive: Wake-Up Video

29 October 2009 6:00 AM, PDT | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

October 29 is a notorious day in the history of American finance. In 1929, the stock market crashed on what became known as "Black Tuesday" and sent the United States spiraling into the Great Depression, which not only ended the boom of the 1920s but kept Americans struggling through the 1930s. Only the shift in international relations, President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal and the manufacturing boom that came out of World War II helped the country out of it. Though the country has faced economic downturns since then (including right now), nothing has ever compared to the sort of devastation that was brought on by the Crash of '29.

That being said, October 29 doesn't have to be a downer. On this day in 1998, John Glenn returned to space 36 years after he became the first man to explore the stars. In 1948, boxer Sandy Saddler out-punched Willie Pep (largely considered to be the greatest »

'FlashForward' - 137 Sekunden

13 October 2009 5:09 AM, PDT | AirlockAlpha.com | See recent Airlock Alpha news »

This review may contain spoilers. This week on .Flash Forward. the creepy factor went up and the suspense factor went down. Not too much in the way of action, but the death of hundreds of crows all over the world at the same time (which has apparently happened in the past) was enough to suggest that the flash forwards could be less of something man made, like nuclear war, and more of something along the lines of the apocalypse, like the 2012 theories or the passages from Revelations in the bible. For the first time, we got to meet Demitri.s (John Cho) fiancé, Zoey (Gabrielle Union) and by the end of the episode we saw Demitri decide to make her flash forward come true by agreeing to marry her in April, just like she saw in her flash forward. He made one flash forward come true, »

Episode Title: "137 Sekunden"

Written by: David S. Goyer & Marc Guggenheim

The Story: Agent Demetri Noh (John Cho) gets a mix of confounding clues and gory details about his potential death on March 15, 2010. Elsewhere, Agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) follows up on a lead in Germany, meeting with an imprisoned Nazi (Curt Lowens) that allegedly knows why the blackout occurred in the first place.

He Was On My Board: It was pretty much a war of the minds between Benford and Rudolf Geyer, the elderly Nazi that promised to deliver important information regarding the blackout in exchange for his freedom. Of course, he knew pretty much nothing useful — that's the nature of these types of shows, people — but Lowens' performance was nonetheless riveting and I'm look forward to seeing more of him in the – *ahem* – future.

Oh Noh: Things aren't looking so bright for Demetri, who is apparently going to be »

FlashForward Interview: Gabrielle Union on Future Vision, Character Profile

8 October 2009 6:41 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Will Demetri Noh really be killed on March 15, 2010? That's one of many questions FlashForward viewers have to contemplate over the next few months.

But Gabrielle Union - who debuts as Zoey, Demetri's fiancee, tonight - spoke to Movieline this week and made it sound as though her character's betrothed may survive after all, at least based on Zoey's vision of the future.

“I have a flashforward that’s a little different than his, as he doesn’t have one, and I’m insisting that he was in mine. But I believe that we are getting married. I think that’s what I see," Union said.

Not that the actress is really privy to any FlashForward spoilers, however. She added:

“The [producers] are Fort Knox-y. If you say something, they’ll track you down!”

As for her character, Union described Zoey as follows:

“She’s a really smart character who is not in-your-face or a know-it-all. »

Video – FlashForward 1.03 "137 Sekunden" – 4 Clips

FlashForward is getting awesome, right? This week's episode of FlashForward, 137 Sekunden, will continue to peel back layers by introducing a captured Nazi who knows something about the 'event' that caused the FlashForward.  I have a definite soft spot for Nazis in my SciFi, maybe I've played too much Castle Wolfenstein, who knows.  Also, this week is the debut of Gabrielle Union as Demetri's fiance.  After last week's affirmation that the worst case scenario of his lacking of a FlashForward is chillingly possible we can't wait to see what she has to say.  Here are four clips from FlashForward, "137 Sekunden," which airs this Thursday at 8:00pm est on ABC.

A FlashForward Funeral: Episode Stills from "137 Sekunden"

5 October 2009 1:22 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Through two episodes of FlashForward, we're major fans of this new ABC drama.

One complaint, however, is that the series hasn't focused enough on the bigger picture. After all, thousands - if not millions - of people died in the global blackouts, yet attention is being almost entirely paid to the problems of just a couple individuals.

Fortunately, it looks like the show has recognized this complaint and will tackle it on Thursday night's episode, "137 Sekunden."

As the photos below depict, there will be a memorial service held this week, in honor of those that died. Click on each images for a larger view and take a look at Gabrielle Union debuting as Demeri's fiancee...
