Actor Denzel Washington has returned to 20th Century Fox's runaway train movie Unstoppable after earlier dropping out over a $4million pay cut, reports Variety. After discussions with director Tony Scott, he reached an agreement with the studio.
Filming is to begin in September on Battle: Los Angeles, about a platoon of Marines taking on an alien invasion. The only cast announced so far is Aaron Eckhart, although an extensive casting call went out last month. Jonathan Liebesman (who helmed the 2006 horror prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) will direct for Sony's Columbia Pictures from a script by Scott Silver and Christopher Bertolini, with a release date slated for 2010.
Paul W.S. Anderson is to return to the director's chair for Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth instalment in the franchise, says Production Weekly. Anderson wrote all the previous films, directed the first one and then produced the next two.
