Adam Brody stopped by a dry cleaner in La yesterday, back home after spending a few Fall weeks in Long Island filming The Romantics. He bonded with some of his costars like Glee cutie Dianna Agron while filming, and some of the cast - which also includes Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin and Josh Duhamel - will be making the trek to Park City later this month when the movie hits Sundance. Up next for Adam is making a cameo alongside Tracy Morgan and Bruce Willis in Kevin Smith's Cop Out, though there's no Brody in the first trailer. View 5 Photos › »

Blu-ray review: ‘Jennifer’s Body’

Jennifer’s Body is easily one of the most annoying features to arrive this year. Chalk-full of Caucasoid witticisms forced into virtually every line from  Juno-scribe Diablo Cody, this genre-bending film wallows in mean-spirited mischief, self-importance and worst of all: shallowness. It’s the perfect venue for Megan Fox, whose previous films also embark on the same path of appealing to only the basics of male instincts.

Because if you can’t have more than five explosions, you’d better crank up the lesbian action. To the creative team behind this film, that’s what us dudes want.  Jennifer (Fox) is a bitch. Self-absorbed, slutty, and a cheerleader, the raven-haired beauty doesn’t have many close friends; just a slew of suitors and nerdy gal-pal Needy (Amanda Seyfried) who verges on obsession with Jennifer while harboring some pent-up homo-love. Entertainment Weekly has revealed a new photo from Cop Out, which stars Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan. Opening in theaters February 26, the comedy follows two cops who track down a stolen baseball card, rescue a Mexican beauty and must deal with gangsters and laundered drug money. Summary: Sent to prison, Malik El Djebena falls under the sway of a group of Corsicans who enforce their rule in the prison. As the 'missions' go by, he toughens himself and wins their confidence but uses his intelligence to discreetly develop his own network.

Analysis: Finally scoring a limited release in the Us in February, Jacques Audiard's violent and hard-edged prison drama won the Grand Prix at Cannes, scored Best Film at the London Film Festival, and is already the hotly tipped favourite to take the Oscar for Best Foreign Film late next month.

Jennifer's Body could have, would have and should have been the year's can't miss horror movie. Look at what the film -- out now on DVD and Blu-ray from Fox Home Entertainment -- had going for it: Red-hot stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, the former coming off Transformers (2007) and the latter off Mamma Mia! (2008); screenwriter Diablo Cody, following up her Oscar-winning effort, Juno (2007); and all the buzz in the world, with guys eager to glimpse Fox as a sexy man-eater, girls ready for a female-centric fright flick written, directed by and starring ladies, and more than a few people of both genders intrigued by the promised girl-on-girl kiss between Fox and Seyfried. And then the film came out -- and promptly tanked hard, fast, and embarrassingly. Who's to say why Jennifer's Body (2009) so badly underperformed. Perhaps it was just lousy timing.
