Director Luca Guadagnino will spent the rest of the year deservedly basking in the acclaim for “Call Me By Your Name.” However, next year he’ll be back in the spotlight, with horror fans giving him plenty of scrutiny about his redo of the classic “Suspiria.” The project is packed with talent, with Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Mia Goth, Chloë Grace Moretz, Lutz Ebersdorf and Jessica Harper leading the cast, and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke providing the score.

Melanie Griffith is opening up about a serious health diagnosis she kept private for years.
The actress, 60, revealed she had been diagnosed with epilepsy six years ago during a Women’s Brain Health Initiative panel Wednesday night in Beverly Hills, California. The panel was moderated by actress Sharon Stone, who suffered a stroke in 2001.
Griffith was diagnosed after she had two seizures, which occurred on a yacht outside of Cannes, France, during the Cannes Film Festival in 2011.

Griffith, a three-time Golden Globe nominee, shared that she had experienced several grand mal seizures -- with the most recent ones being on a yacht outside Cannes, France.
“I had two seizures, one they took me off the boat. I had this major grand mal seizure and they took me to the hospital in Cannes and then brought me back to the boat,” she told the audience. “And then I had another seizure and I went back. They did the Eeg and started to look at it seriously. When I came back [to the United States], I was diagnosed with epilepsy.”

Whether producing “The Artist,” “Shakespeare in Love” or “The English Patient,” Queens-born serial predator Harvey Weinstein has always had a knack for making powerful period pictures. Maybe, between the best picture Oscars that those movies scored, he should have brushed up on his Hollywood history. His penchant for the casting couch — the practice of powerful white men exploiting young actresses trying to break into the movie business — has a historical precedent as old as the movie business itself.
“The perils for women in Hollywood are embedded, like land mines, from an actress’s debut to her swan song,” says film critic and historian Carrie Rickey, “where moguls like Harry Cohn reputedly wouldn’t cast starlets like Marilyn Monroe and Kim Novak unless they auditioned in bed.”

We imagine it must be tough enough for actors and actresses to get through love scenes in a normal movie, but when it comes to the stuff in the Fifty Shades series, well, that’s a whole other ball game. Known for its steamy, kinky and most definitely R-rated content, they might not be the most explicit films ever made, but they do require their stars to go through what must be some pretty awkward scenes. As such, many have often wondered how Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson prepare for that.
Not surprisingly, it turns out that for the latter at least, alcohol helps a lot. Speaking in a recent interview to promote the next instalment in the franchise, Fifty Shades Freed, the actress said the following on how she gets ready for those moments.
Shot of whiskey [and] mints. He does pushups and I just lay there and drink whiskey. »

Fifty Shades Freed will complete the Fifty Shades movie trilogy next February. Here's the trailer...
Whilst the Fifty Shades bubble has hardly burst, it was notable that the box office take for this year’s Fifty Shades Darker was notably down on that for Fifty Shades Of Grey. Maybe there’s a limit to how much people want to watch reasonably dull films peppering with rumpy pumpy and spanky hanky panky.
Still, there’s one more to go, and next February, we get Fifty Shades Freed. It’ll star Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan once again, with James Foley directing. Niall Leonard has penned the screenplay, based on the novel by E L James.

Universal has released the first teaser trailer for Fifty Shades Freed, which is the third and final installment of the series. The three movies are all based off of author E.L. James Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and it's finally coming to a close on Valentine's Day 2018, for better or for worse. The new teaser, not to be confused with the 18-second post-credit that played after Fifty Shades Darker, steps up the melodrama a notch even further than the previous 2 installments, which didn't seem possible, but it appears that they've pulled off the unthinkable here.
The new teaser for Fifty Shades Freed comes to us via the official Fifty Shades YouTube channel and begins with the marriage between Anastasia and Christian Jamie Dornan) and quickly goes into flashes of sex, guns, violence, wealth, honeymoon, abs, bikinis, a knife to the throat, and some dialogue. There's a lot packed into the 1-minute long clip, »
