One of the original cast of "Heroes" has tweeted that Kate Vernon from "Battlestar Galactica" is going to guest star on the show. Greg Grunberg who plays Matt Parkman wrote on Thursday, November 12, "Kate Vernon from BSG is now on #Heroes -- can't wait for you guys to see her. The 5th!!"
While what kind of role Vernon will play out in the series is not yet known, Grunberg had earlier posted a picture of the actress posing with Robert Knepper. In the sci-fi series, Knepper plays Sam, the ringleader of traveling troupe called The Carnival, so Vernon could either be the latest member of the group or a relative of Sam.
Kate Vernon, who plays Ellen Tigh on "Galactica", has not given commitment to any TV series after the Sci Fi series wrapped up earlier this year. However, she had joined the cast ensemble of "The Last Song" which »

This review may contain spoilers. The more things change, the more they stay the same. For one episode, .Heroes. evoked the strength of the first season in a pretty simple fashion; Hiro (Masi Oka) traveled back there. The result was a solid episode, perhaps the best of the season. Hiro.s attempts to save Charlie (Jayma Mays) run the gamut from touching to ridiculous, but this actually works in the episode.s favor. A truly love-struck Hiro is a likeable, sympathetic character. If he is willing to do something so foolish as to let Sylar (Zachary Quinto) try to heal his true love, well, viewers can write that off to love making him do crazy things. Samuel Sullivan (Robert Knepper) of course has manipulated Hiro down this path to changing the past, and he manages to trap Charlie ... »

Marc Bernardin was so traumatized by last week’s spooky-scary sorority hazing that he had to take the week off. (That’s completely untrue.) While he’s off, I’ll do my best to guide you through last night’s Heroes, which managed to be the least bad episode of the season so far, but only by turning the clock back to the salad days of late 2006. Back then, it seemed like Heroes got better, darker, and twistier with every episode. Characters died constantly, and besides Claire, they stayed dead. A cast fatality can make for game-changing plot twist: 24’s »

Call Heroes the fast food of television: even through its very worst moments, it still manages to be greatly entertaining television. This label is most applicable to the second and third volumes (not seasons) of the series, which were mediocre at best, with only a few high points (puppetmaster Eric Doyle, for instance). However, I still tuned in every week — not because it was great television — but because I was entertained. Oh, and because there was always a hope that the show would get better, and that I would be vindicated in my dedication (and be automatically entitled to bragging rights when the show returned to its former glory).
While that's not quite the case yet, I have to say that Heroes is striving to move out of the fast food category of television and more toward the gourmet category. Volume four, "Fugitives," was the best volume of the series since "Genesis, »

It's no secret that Heroes has been slipping in quality and in the ratings since the end of its first season. Things have improved a bit this year thanks to Robert Knepper's fantastic turn as manscara-wearing carnival boss Samuel Sullivan. Watching Sylar torment Matt Parkman with some Tyler Durden-esque head games has been a hoot too.
But, as we TV critics like to bring up every now and then, the current season isn't nearly as good as that great first season. Maybe that's why Heroes is taking us back to season one, sort of, with the Nov. 2 episode, "Once Upon a time in Texas."
The ep follows Hiro as he travels back in time to try to change the events of season one's episode 8, in which he fell in love with Texas waitress Charlie, played by Glee's Jayma Mays. Fans of the show know that Hiro was unable »

Heroes will return with the brand new episode Once Upon a Time in Texas, which will air on Monday, November 2 at 8 Pm on NBC and will feature the return of guest star Jayma Mays' character Charlie, who Masi Oka's Hiro tried to save from her untimely fate in the first season. In this episode, Hiro goes back in time to stop her death, and, as we can see from the image below, some sparks do fly as well. Click below to enlarge this new image of Hiro and Charlie kissing.
Masi Oka also released a brief message to the fans about this upcoming episode, which was one of his favorites to film.
"This was one of my favorite episodes of the series. I had the opportunity to explore the many layers of Hiro. It was truly wonderful working with Jayma again and I even got to play against a younger me. »

Before we get into this week's review of Heroes, read through our recap of "Strange Attractors." Ready to go? Good. So are we...
What Worked: Anything Samuel says or does. Whether it's Robert Knepper's performance or the way his character is written, we're mesmerized each time he's on screen. Not to be sacrilegious, but it's akin to The Joker in The Dark Knight.
What Needs Work: Well... Samuel. So he runs a carnival, his brother died and he wants to collect the Heroes for some (supposedly) evil purpose. We get that. We got it after the first episode. But the guy has to actually do something soon. As we just said, yes, his presence alone is captivating. But we're more than a third of the way through the season and his storyline hasn't advanced at all yet.
What Didn't Work: Are they really exploring a possible relationship between Claire and Gretchen? »

We're back with another edition of the Heroes Round Table!
What did you like or dislike about this week's new episode? We hope you're discussing it with fellow viewers in our forum.
As for the TV Fanatic staff, we've gathered once again to analyze developments from "Tabula Rasa." Who is our favorite villain? Who will die? Read on. Find out our take...
Choose your favorite villain: Sylar or Samuel?
A. Hiro: Out with the old, in with the new! Samuel strikes me as far more intriguing these days. He commands my attention during each scene, while I almost find myself bored with Sylar.
Milover: Sylar. Samuel is simply the flavor of the month, if you will. But you heard the carnival folks discussing Sylar this week. They've all heard of him. They all fear him. That's the nature of a true villain.
Timex: Samuel, because he's layered. I never bought »

.Heroes. followed up its best episode of the season with another solid offering. While this is reason alone for excitement, the show could still have used more action, and the overall focus for the season remains unclear. Sylar (Zachary Quinto) finds refuge in Samuel Sullivan.s (Robert Knepper) circus. Apparently, Lydia (Dawn Olivieri) either has a crush on Sylar, or she has been instructed to get close to him. In a somewhat convoluted and contrived plot device, Samuel Sullivan invites Captain Lubbock, (Ernie Hudson) the detective who arrested Sylar, to his carnival. Apparently, he believes that if Sylar sees him, it will trigger his memories and thus restoring him to the serial killer he is. This story was the weakest of the night, but did provide us with an interesting series of ... »
