Above, you can see the one sheet for Tom Ford's A Single Man, which more than one blog is crying about the marketing being de-gayed. And not just gay blogs, because indieWIRE says the new trailer has also been de-gayed. Taylor Swift took aim at ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and poked fun at rumours she's now dating Taylor Lautner during her guest hosting stint on U.S. comedy show Saturday Night Live.
The Love Story hitmaker took over presenting duties at the weekend and used her opening musical number to laugh about her break-up with the middle Jonas Brother, who famously dumped her in a brief phone call last year.
In a skit titled Monologue Song (La La La), she sang, "You might think I bring up Joe, the guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I'm not gonna mention that in my monologue..."
Swift then sent a personal message to the Love Bug singer, quipping, "Hey Joe, I'm doing real well!"
The 19-year-old star went on to address rumours linking her to Twilight hunk Lautner, fuelling romance reports by winking and blowing a kiss into the camera for him.
She said, "And if you're wondering if I might be dating the werewolf from Twilight - 'Hi Taylor' - but I'm not gonna mention that in my monologue."
And the teenage country sensation also proved she had put Kanye West's rude interruption at the MTV Video Music Awards behind her by joking about the incident in her opening number.
She added, "You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye, and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my Vma monologue, but there's nothing more to say 'cause everything's Ok, I've got security lining the stage..."
West stormed the stage at the September ceremony to proclaim Swift's prize should have gone to Beyonce.
The rapper was rumoured to be making an appearance on SNL with Swift to win over his critics, but the claims proved to be false.
Swift also portrayed Colombian beauty Shakira in a parody of her hit Hips Don't Lie, renaming the track Bunny Hips Don't Lie. »

She told Bang Showbiz: "I started in Jay-z's studio. Jay-z is sitting in the corner, chillin', having a conversation with me. I went to the toilet and Timbaland is sitting outside. (more) »

50 Cent had a busy day yesterday, blowing the doors open on two new ventures as a lead-up to the November 16 release of his new album Before I Self Destruct. He premiered his new movie (also called "Before I Self Destruct") last night in New York. The film, which will be released the same day as the album, marks 50's directorial debut. It's a hard-edged tale of 'hood politics that contrasts pretty profoundly with the other product he debuted yesterday: "Power," his new fragrance. 50 met fans at Macy's in New York City for the unveiling of the new scent, just in time for the holidays. »

The Jonas Brothers and the Backstreet Boys brought their equally hot brand of boy band magic to the MTV Europe Music Awards yesterday (November 5). And things got really awesome when the guys all met up on the red carpet.
Believe it or not, the two generations of boy bands have a history with one another. That's probably why they all looked pretty excited to run into one another, catch up and share some laughs at the big show. The Jonas Brothers opened for Bsb a few years back (2005 to be exact, for Bsb's "Never Gone" tour) and we have to say this was the most exciting reunion in ages. (Except for that one time Kevin Richardson joined the rest of the band for one show and gave us all false hope for one moment.)
Last year, Brian Littrell sang the JoBros praises in an MTV News interview. "They're a talented bunch of kids. »

Even though we're just on the other side of Halloween, the public has already shifted its focus to Christmas. Store displays have shifted, Starbucks has drinks that are eggnog flavored and a handful of lunatics are already considering their Christmas trees. Today marks the first big film release of the holiday season in "A Christmas Carol," the Robert Zemeckis-directed animated feature that stars Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge. (For more on "A Christmas Carol," be sure to check out all the in-depth coverage over at MTV Movies.) There are plenty more holiday-themed platters on the way, but "A Christmas Carol" is the biggest Christmas-related film to hit theaters this season.
But let's face it: Today is November 6, a full 49 days before Santa Claus comes down the chimney. There's no shame in not feeling any yuletide cheer yet, as we're still a few weeks from Thanksgiving. But maybe you never miss a Jim Carrey movie, »
