With James Cameron set on tackling a smaller picture before heading back to the CG world he created for "Avatar," it'll be a while before star Zoe Saldana once again dons her motion-capture suit and becomes the elegant alien Neytiri. Following this year's blockbuster success of both "Avatar" and "Star Trek," what will be the 31-year-old actress' future on the big screen? Here's where we know she'll be headed in 2010 and beyond.
"Takers"
Once titled "Bone Deep," this shoot-'em-up heist flick is next up for Saldana, arriving in theaters in February. Co-starring Chris Brown and T.I., "Takers" tells the story of a band of bank robbers and the detectives assigned to bring them down. »

Ho Ho Ho! It’s that time of the year for giving and receiving and if your having trouble finding the perfect gift for your loved one then i will hopefully mention something that will help fill that stocking in time for 25th December.
I’m going to run down my top Blu-Ray films, Top DVD’s, Top TV Boxsets and Top anything else that I think are must haves this year.
We’ve added links to Zavvi.com who are currently offering free delivering on everything so make sure you check them out.
Blu-ray and DVD Films
I’ll start with Blu-Ray/DVD films. Blu-Rays have reduced in price incredibly in the run up to Christmas and if you shop around then you will find all sort of deals like 2-4-1’s or 2 for a nice low price, and it’s still not to late to get them in time for Christmas. »

In my Doc Jensen column that posted today, I told you all about "The Lost Underground Art Project" and how the final poster in the fan appreciation campaign will include two teases about season six. I also said that I would Tweet the web address for the poster when it became available tonight at an exhibition of all the posters at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. Well, guess what? You don't have to wait that long: the address is nothingsforever.com. Now, if you click there right now, you'll find... nothing. But you won't have to wait... forever. I have no »

After BNAT1138: The Beginning and Bnat: The Middle, we're coming to the end of Butt-Numb-a-Thon (Bnat). Don't panic. There's plenty to make it a very memorable ending.
Inappropriate Clip: Apparently it's tradition to show something tasteless. This year it's sumo-diapered men in a ring allowing themselves to be dry-humped by dogs, from a variety of angles, with a special guest (perhaps the Mc?) wearing a penis'd afro wig. The truly disturbing part was at least one of the men seemed to be enjoying it.
Special Presentation: "AICN True-ish Hollywood Story." Birthday wishes and wisecracks from Jj Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Damon Lindelof, Danny McBride, Michael Bay and Jon Favreau. Favreau had a very special birthday/Bnat greeting, with an introduction to world premiere of the Iron Man 2 trailer.

The future of the Transformers franchise was initially up in the air following the release of the second movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, despite a successful showing at the box office. Screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman declined to return for a third movie, and director Michael Bay said that he needed some time off from Transformers.
Plans for the franchise quickly got back on track, however. Bay changed his mind about making a "small movie" between the Transformers and even announced the return of Megan Fox, despite the very public feud between the two of them. And, while Orci and Kurtzman are out, Orci said that the script for the third movie is in the capable hands of Ehren Kruger, who assisted the duo with the script for the second movie.
Just when things seem to be humming along, the possibility of a studio leak has surfaced. The »

Alias. Lost. Fringe. Mission Impossible 3. Cloverfield. Star Trek. All in all, writer/director/producer JJ Abrams had a pretty sweet decade. That’s why we at Entertainment Weekly named him one of the Entertainers of the Decade in our Best of the Decade issue, on stands now. In particular, 2009 was a peak year for the 43-year-old Abrams thanks to Star Trek, a global box-office smash that revitalized a lagging pop culture franchise. Abrams — an unabashed Star Wars guy — had been a Trek shrugger himself, but fell in love with the world the more he worked on it. “I didn’t »

But not before loads of massive robot attacks. And at 150 minutes long, that's an awful lot of metal bashing. So, as the film hits the DVD shelves, save your eardrums and try our condensed screenplay instead
Transformers: Revenge of the FallenBy Paul MacInnes, with apologies to Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman
Scene 1
Ext: The great Pyramid. Cradle of civilisation. Symbol of humanity's grandest ambitions. A Wonder of the world. At least, it was until a CGI Robot modelled on a particularly ugly Langoustine started smashing it up, the better to reveal the Massive Gun he stashed there millennia ago in the hope of sucking all the energy from the Sun. This robot, for reasons too complicated and tenuous to explain, is called The Fallen.

Though some names have been attached to write the script for the follow up to 2009 movie "Star Trek", Harlan Ellison does not hesitate to offer himself as the scribe for this upcoming movie project. The acclaimed sci-fi writer who once wrote "The City on the Edge of Forever" episode of "Star Trek" TV series has taken it to his blog to express his willingness to work with director and producer J.J. Abrams for this Untitled Star Trek Sequel.
"Yes, I would likely try to steer him toward the original film idea I was asked to pitch, by the late Gene Roddenberry and a production exec whose name I have blissfully flensed from memory...," the Hugos award winner wrote. "If the very smart Abrams didn't want to go that way, I would be wide-open to rethinking such a film from the git-go."
As of late, Abrams has confirmed that the "Star Trek »

Writing a script for the sequel to J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot is the most fun job in the world – but hey, Somebody has got to do it.
You would think that bit of hyperbole is the actual case, from the way acclaimed sci-fi writer Harlan Ellison (The Outer Limits, Star Trek, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour) is approaching it. Ellison recently posted on his blog that he is Totally willing to step up and handle the scripting duties for Star Trek 2. The man has worked on Star Trek projects before – although not without a tiny bit of controversy.
You Trekkies out there probably already know that Ellison is the often-volatile writer behind famous sci-fi controversies involving some of the genre’s biggest properties.
There the instance in which Ellison claimed that James Cameron had stolen concepts for The Terminator from two of Ellison’s Outer Limits episodes (”Demon with »

Writer Anthony Peckman will trade Nelson Mandela for a salvage crew. The Invictus writer has been recruited to pen the screenplay for Deep Sea Cowboys, an Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci-produced action film based on an article written by Joshua Davis for Wired. The article provides a real-time experience of a team of men trying to recover a ship.s precious cargo after it topples to one side. Back in February, it was announced that David Ayer (Training Day) was the scribe selected, but the deal must have fallen through. The THR article notes that Ayer .previously worked on the script. but makes no mention of a reason for his replacement. While it makes perfect sense for the U-571¬ writer to tackle another at-sea travesty, Peckman has immense potential. He wrote the 2001 crime drama Don.t Say a Word, the highly anticipated Sherlock Holmes and is likely busy reveling »

As it turns out, Megan Fox will be alive and well in Tranformers 3, despite rumors and off-the-wall speculation saying otherwise. Take That bloggers.
In a recent interview with USA Today, director Michael Bay said that Fox will not be killed off and that the sex bomb will actually have a “great part” in it.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman will not return to pen the follow-up. The duo are currently working on the sequel to Star Trek.
Along with Foxy Fox, series star Shia Labeouf is expected to return.
Transformers 3 (working title!) will arrive in theaters on July 1, 2011.

After Megan Fox has been confirmed to reprise her role as Mikaela Banes in "Transformers 3", there was a speculation that her character would be dead in the first few frames of the upcoming movie. In a recent interview with USA Today, however, director Michael Bay did not only dismiss the rumor but also promised a "great part" for the actress.
"She's got a great part in 'Transformers 3'," the helmer said on Fox, who considered him as Hitler when he was doing his duty. Asked if he plan to kill her off in the third "Transformers" movie, Bay who is currently working on the script said, "No, no, no. She gets enough of that already."
Beside Megan Fox, Shia Labeouf is also set to return to "Transformers 3" as Sam Witwicky. Meanwhile, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman who have been involved in the writing of the first two "Transformers" movies, »

After a notable role as Eomer in the second and third chapters in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Karl Urban went on to star in the ill-fated Pathfinder, Marcus Nispel's Vikings-versus-Native Americans action film.
Urban followed up his little-seen Pathfinders starring role with the supporting role of Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy in J.J. Abrams' revamped Star Trek, a role that promised to put him back in the spotlight. However, Abrams' film focused primarily on the relationship between James T. Kirk (played by Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto), rather than on the the Kirk-Spock-Bones trinity that served as the basis for the original series. In a recent interview with IGN, Urban said that he hopes that his role gets beefed up for Star Trek 2, if only to pay homage to the original.
The structure [of the new film] wasn't really the traditional triumvirate that you've seen on the television show. »

Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty in this year's blockbuster hit "Star Trek," had some great thoughts to share about his role recently on Twitter. Besides praising the writing work of Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, and adding the great directorial work of J.J. Abrams, Pegg also addressed something that has been a concern of some fans since the film's release last May: There's an awful lot of coincidence. "I love that Scotty shows up late," Pegg said on Twitter. "The film is about fate. About time healing itself. He's furthest away, and yet he is found. Some have questioned the coincidences, but they are the point. Destiny is stronger than time and circumstance. The crew are supposed to unite." Since the film was released, this is a column I have tried to write, but usually something »
