Rachel McAdams is reportedly dating Jude Law's personal assistant. The actress, who stars with Law in the upcoming Sherlock Holmes flick, was spotted on a romantic stroll with former model Ben Jackson in New York over the weekend. One onlooker told a Us newspaper: 'They were laughing a lot and looked like they were having a good time.' The pair are thought to have met when Rachel starred alongside British actor Jude in the new movie. Rachel, 31, has been single since splitting up from actor Josh Lucas earlier this year following a four-month fling. She previously dated her The Notebook co-star Ryan Gosling for three years after they met on the set of the »

Directors of the Decade: David Gordon Green

17 December 2009 5:45 PM, PST | FilmExperience | See recent FilmExperience news »

Robert here, continuing my series of the directors that shaped the past 10 years. Our next subject is a director who made his debut this decade and was immediately compared to Terrence Malick. Some have suggested that he’s faltered recently and maybe they’re right but his early films are such a high point in modern indie cinema he more than qualifies as one of the best directors of this decade. I’m talking about: David Gordon Green.

Number of Films: Five

Modern Masterpieces: George Washington.

Total Disasters: None, though a few mixed efforts.

Better than you remember: Undertow, while flawed is still a worthwhile endeavor, better than the reaction it's been given.

Awards: Some Spirit Award noms, but not much else. Not enough.

Box Office: 89 mil for Pineapple Express, the expected winner.

Critical Consensus: George Washington was his best received film. All downhill from there.

Favorite Actor: Paul Schnieder »

McAdams stars opposite Robert Downey Jr. in Guy Ritchie's 'Sherlock Holmes,' out Christmas Day. Here are some highlights from the Vogue interview: On her daily yoga routine: "The earliest I'll start is four-thirty. That's my limit." On her self image growing up: "My mother never put an emphasis on looks. She let us grow up on our own time line. She never forced any beauty regimen into my world." McAdams was teased in high school for not shaving her legs. "Why didn't you tell me?" she asked her mom. Mom: "Once you start, there's no turning back." On being single: "The first thing Diane [Keaton] always asks me is »

Sliff 2009 Review: Stolen Lives

16 November 2009 4:52 AM, PST | WeAreMovieGeeks.com | See recent WeAreMovieGeeks.com news »

Don’t let the overly qualified cast list fool you.  Stolen Lives is about eight commercial breaks short of being a movie of the week, not one, but two kidnapped child tales that intersect in highly sporadic and, overall, loose-fitting ways.  It feels like it’s moving fast, but it plods and plods until all the loose ends seem to magically tie themselves off and then, simply, end.

Jon Hamm and Josh Lucas star as two fathers in completely different eras.  Hamm plays a cop in the present day who is obsessed with his missing son.  He, along with his wife, played by Rhona Mitra, is the first on the scene when news hits him that a child’s body has been found buried underneath a construction site.  Upon taking the skeletal remains to a pathologist, he learns the child is not his son but, rather, that of a child »

We have just discovered from our sources that director John Singleton has his next project and its not the A-Team as reports would have lead you at one time to believe- even though they are filming that movie now; but is a comedy concert film.

We discovered that Singleton has decided to film comedian DeRay Davis’ stand-up performance (yet to be titled) and release it nationally, and not as a DVD for the video store but as the first stand up film in years to be released theatrically. Lucas is a Puzzle Head in the Tell Tale Poster

3 November 2009 | shocktillyoudrop.com | See recent shocktillyoudrop news »

A Tribeca Film Festival entry, Tell Tale is a film without a home. Even with Ridley and Tony Scott on board as producers, this loose take on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" still awaits a U.S. release even though it has shored up distributors all over the world. What's the problem - the movie isn't good. It's silly and dry. Nevertheless, a domestic one-sheet has been whipped up showcasing stars Josh Lucas, Brian Cox and Lena Headey. Lucas plays a man who gets a heart transplant which puts him on the path of a murder mystery. You can watch a clip from the film here . »

Lucas' Horror Movie Terror

28 October 2009 5:16 AM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Josh Lucas's childhood terrors have left him too frightened to watch horror movies - even if he is in them.

The 38 year old has starred in a string of scary films, including Brad Anderson slasher Session 9 and 2000 thriller American Psycho.

But Lucas admits he is too terrified to sit through any gory scenes and won't even watch his own work.

He tells the New York Daily News, "I won't see scary movies. I've been in them and then I've been like, 'Whoa, this is too scary for me!' I guess I've held on to those little childhood moments - when you're in the dark and there's a rattle outside your house and you're thinking there's a monster under your bed." »
