In his directorial film debut Chicago (2002) alone he directed four actors, Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Queen Latifah and John C. Reilly, in Oscar-nominated performances. Only Catherine Zeta-Jones has won an Oscar (Best Actress in a Supporting Role) under his direction.
Directed both Renée Zellweger and Richard Gere in Golden Globe-winning performances for their roles in Chicago (2002).
