As the DVD/Blu-ray release date approaches, more deleted Star Trek scenes are finding their way online. Last week's scene saw Nero (Eric Bana) escape from a Klingon prison.

This week we get to see Kirk's apology to the green-skinned Orion Gaila (Rachel Nichols). Only it looks like Kirk can't tell his Orions apart and Diora Baird is the victim of Kirk's intergalactic ignorance.

Possible villains for Batman 3: G.I. Joe's Rachel Nichols as Poison Ivy

23 October 2009 8:32 AM, PDT | The Geek Files | See recent The Geek Files news »

There may be an absence of news on a third Batman movie but there's no shortage of casting suggestions and fan debate over who and what should be in it.

Whether any of it comes true is another matter, but it's interesting - and fun - to speculate and make those wishlists for the possible next instalment.

I recently reported that Marion Cotillard was a top choice to play Catwoman in the superhero fan community.

Among other villains' names being thrown around is Poison Ivy, previously portrayed by Uma Thurman (pictured right) in 1997's Batman & Robin.

It seems fairly unlikely that director Nolan would use the character in his third Batman movie but, nevertheless, fans are pondering possible actresses to play the part.

While Eva Green leads one forum poll, followed by Scarlett Johansson, another name put forward is Rachel Nichols.

Nichols, a 29-year-old natural blonde, dyed her hair to »

We were one of the many sites who got out in support of Stephen Sommers' G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, right before it became a late summer surprise. And rightfully so, as it was a lot of fun. There was some over-the-top action, crazy-fun characters and of course, women in tight costumes kicking the crap out of each other. The latter being a personal favorite of yours truly. So it's fitting that we are here today to debut a very cool behind the scenes clip that will show you how the fight scene between Scarlett (Rachel Nichols) and the Baroness (Sienna Miller). Rachel Nichols To Be Led To A Mystery By A Talking Parrot

14 October 2009 2:28 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

At least once a week there is a story about a movie going into production that makes me feel like it is time to start forgetting about Hollywood, thinking that there must be a better way to spend my time. Fortunately, these stories are often balanced, the ying to the yang if you will, by others that simply make me look at the movie industry like a three year old who has just spilled a glass of milk . while it.s bad behavior, it is so insignificant that it is kind of cute. This is one of those stories. According to Variety, Rachel Nichols, of G.I. Joe and Alias fame, has been signed on to a film called The Loop, where she will play a librarian named Fiona who .joins a highway patrolman to uncover the mysteries behind the cryptic sayings spoken by an ancient parrot.. Sienna Miller attacks cross-eyed G.I. Joe doll

28 August 2009 3:33 PM, PDT | The Geek Files | See recent The Geek Files news »

Sienna Miller donned a black leather catsuit to play gun-toting baddie The Baroness in new action movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

She prepared for the role with four months of weight training and boxing sessions - gaining five pounds of muscle - and learned to fire live ammunition.

And it paid off. Miller, 27, looked stunning as the raven-haired femme fatale. She said: "It's really exciting to be in a film that people actually want to go and see!"

But the rather unflattering action figure of her character hasn't met with her approval.

She moaned: "My doll is cross-eyed and has the biggest chin you have ever seen.

"Action figures are always a bit off, aren't they? Oddly enough from side on it is definitely me but front on she looks sort of possessed."

But she added: "I've got very happy nieces and nephews when they get my doll for Christmas. »
