Col. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith, Capt. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock, Sgt. Bosco ‘B.A.’ Baracus and Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck, otherwise known as The A-Team, will be hitting theatres on 30th July 2009. But despite the fact we’ve less than 12 months to go until release, we’ve actually seen very little of the film’s production with the exception of some low-res, blurred fan photos. That is until now.
20th Century Fox invited Entertainment Tonight onto the set of the production, which sees the character from the popular television series brought to life for the first time in more than two decades. Naturally, the kind folks at FilmShaft couldn’t resist bringing our readers a look at the footage from the set visit – so check it out below!

Entertainment Tonight has got a chance to visit the Vancouver set of the in-production "The A-Team", and posted the on-set video for viewing pleasure. The set visit video mostly features interview with Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel and Quinton Jackson, but a glimpse of Sharlto Copley as H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdoch is also included.
In the video, Cooper tells Et's Kevin Frazier about the strict regimen he follows to stay in shape for his Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck role. "I have just been sort of on this crazy, just sort of getting-in-shape regimen," he gushes. "No salt or sugar, that's been great. I just eat what they put in front of me, but it's a lot of like boiled chicken, and brown rice, and broccoli. Whoo!"
Jackson, in the meantime, has only this to say about his B.A. Baracus character, "Less gold, more muscle." As for Biel, she addresses »

Check out footage from the set of "The A-Team" with Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, Sharlto Copley and others as reported by Et. The film sees theatres on June 11th, 2010 and is helmed by Joe Carnahan from the screenplay by Michael Brandt, Derek Haas and Skip Woods based on the characters by Stephen J. Cannell. Cast is intriguing and includes Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton (a.k.a. "Faceman") Peck, Liam Neeson as Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, Jessica Biel as Amy Allen as well as Sharlto Copley in his sophomore big screen performance as Captain 'Howling Mad' Murdock. The actor impressed with his performance in the South African-set sci-fi actioner/drama. This looks to bring in some big numbers for 20th Century Fox. »

Chicago – Hugh Jackman is an awfully likable guy. He oozes the kind of effortless photogenic charisma most movie stars would kill for. He’s also comfortable in his masculinity, and unafraid to expose his inner vulnerabilities and self-deprecation. But his considerable charms have been consistently wasted by the limited imaginations of Hollywood, which would rather objectify him as a muscular meathead. Most of his films have flopped primarily because the characters he was assigned to play were so one-note that Vin Diesel would’ve turned them down.
Blu-Ray Rating: 2.5/5.0
At last year’s Oscar ceremony, Jackman exuberantly threw himself into the night’s opening musical number while struggling to keep a straight face. That’s the guy viewers want to see onscreen, not the trembling, humorless sourpuss on display in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 15th, 2009.

The Human Condition (Criterion) Masaki Kobayashi’s epic (574 minutes) adaptation of Junpei Gomikawa’s six-volume novel was originally made and released as three separate films (1959-61), and is rightfully regarded as a landmark of Japanese cinema. Candide-like story of naïve, good-hearted Kaiji (Japanese superstar Tatsuya Nakadai) from labor camp supervisor, to Imperial Army solider, to Soviet Pow, and Kaiji’s struggle to maintain his humanity throughout. Unfolds with the mastery of a great novel, beautifully-shot, and a stunning example of cinematic mastery on the part of its makers. Four-disc set bonuses include: Interview with Kobayashi; Interview with Nakadai; Featurette; Trailer; Essay by critic Philip Kemp. Widescreen. Dolby 3.0 surround.

Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, Hard Candy) is set to join the cast of “The A-Team” as a CIA operative, according to Entertainment Weekly. Wilson will be possibly assigned to hunt down the war vets convicted of a crime they didn’t commit and are now on the run as fugitives while helping the oppressed seek justice. He is joining Liam Neeson (John “Hannibal” Smith), Bradley Cooper (Templeton “Face” Peck), Sharlto Copley (H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock), Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (B.A. Baracus) and Jessica Biel (Faceman’s ex-flame).
The story keeps the premise of the classic 80’s TV series but will take a more serious tone with the story of four war vets wrongly convicted of armed robbery escape from a military prison to become mercenaries helping the impoverished.
The film will be directed by Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smokin’ Aces), produced by Ridley and Tony Scott, with screenplay written by Derek Haas, »

On the heels of District 9’s Sharlto Copley joining The A-Team and Jessica Biel in talks to play the hottest general since George C. Scott, Patrick Wilson has decided he too would like a piece of the action.
Wilson is set to play a CIA agent in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the ’80s television hit and is rumored to be the film’s central villain. The Watchmen star will be joining an already heavy-esque cast featuring the likes of Liam Neeson, Quntin “Rampage” Jackson and The Hangover’s breakout star Bradley Cooper.
The film will be directed by Joe Carnahan (Narc) with a script from Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hitman, Swordfish).
As if news of Wilson’s entry into the production wasn’t enough, check out the fabled van that will be used in the movie. Sure it isn’t much…but it’s something. For more pics check out Splash News. »

The A-Team cast is growing. After recently adding Jessica Biel and Sharlto Copley as an army general pursuing the team and "Howling Mad" Murdock, respectively, Entertainment Weekly reports that Patrick Wilson (Watchmen) is joining the cast as a CIA operative. More than likely, Wilson will be aiding the group of vets accused of a crime they didn't commit, as they attempt to escape capture from Biel and her team. Necessary in any good A-Team mission is the group's van, and ComingSoon has a photo of the van currently being used in the movie's production in Vancouver. Fans of the TV show will no doubt be pleased by the almost identical nature of the new van, though reportedly the movie version plans to stray from the sometimes silly tone of the TV show for a more serious one.

Today we have a double whammy of new items from the upcoming movie version of the classic 80s TV series, The A-Team. They are a new piece of casting news (don’t worry, none of the already announced actors have been replaced!) and our very first look at the famous A-Team black-with-red-stripe-van.
First up, let’s take a look at the new A-Team van, by way of a photo from the set (from SplashNews) where the movie is currently filming in Vancouver. Die hard fans of the original series will be pleased to know that the new van isn’t all that different from the original (I mean generally - I suspect die hards will nitpick…), which I don’t think is much a problem since that was one of the less cheesier things from the series. It can easily be transferred almost identically to the 21st century movie update and work just as well. »

"The A-Team" has kicked off its principal photography in British Columbia, Canada, and a series of on-set photos from the production has got out. The pictures from the set were brought forth by SplashNews and exposed the first look at the mercenary team's new van.
While the storyline for this big screen version has undergone some adjustments with the team being Iraq vets instead of Vietnam vets, the van used for this Joe Carnahan-directed movie doesn't look much different from the one seen in the original television series. The on-set images of the van can be seen at SplashNews.
