His The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse character's ability to numb the senses might not be too far from reality. Recently, Cameron Bright made his way to Salt Spring, British Columbia to raise money for a young lady who suffers from Compartment Syndrome. According to local news on-site, Bright "was proposed to by a female in the crowd and was hugged by grinning teenage girls who found it hard to let go." The same publication reports that Bright signed over 200 autographs (at a couple of dollars apiece; funds going to the young lady's family) and also participated in a Q&A after the event. In the Q&A, Bright explained his motivation and background in approaching this fundraiser. When I have time and am back at my house I try to do what I c »

Cameron Bright might portray a sense-dulling vampire in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (the second, perhaps better half in the terror-causing twins), but he's no cold one in real life. According to Canada.com, Bright lent his services to a local fundraising campaign (one which benefits the Nanaimo Youth Soccer Club and the Mid Vancouver Island Tenpin Association) by helping to announce the program last week. That publication also traces Bright's roots to those very sort of clubs, attributing his assistance to more than just a philanthropical bone. "The 16-year-old is a familiar face to both org »

While New Moon might've beaten out The Dark Knight (and everything else for that matter) in opening day and midnight ticket sales, it did not take the total opening weekend honor. The Dark Knight still rests comfortably at $158 million, with Spiderman 3 just below at $151 million. What could be behind the rescue of this elderly yuletide turkey from the shelf, asks Catherine Shoard?
Is it too Scroogeish to suggest that had Patrick Swayze still been with us this elderly yuletide turkey (filmed in 2007) might have stayed on the shelf? Certainly the note of morbidity lends faint interest to a film that's like spending an hour and a half inside an Argos catalogue. Swayze plays Wayne, long-suffering father to hormonal Danny (Cameron Bright, who had a bath with Nicole Kidman in Birth), bike-mad Brian, and cutie-pie Mary - big on giggles, mad for Santa, with a faint resemblance to Linda Blair. The smaller two go wild in the aisles of a shopping mall after they find a holdall of counterfeit cash mislaid by dopey conmen. Tim Curry co-stars as a Canadian mountie; Carmen Electra as an evil genius. Ahem.

For starters, it must be said: The Twilight Saga: New Moon was a Twilight film made explicitly for Twilight fans. That’s not to say that any run-of-the-mill attendant won’t enjoy the movie, of course, but the truth of the matter is that New Moon was constructed around and for its built-in fanbase – and it’s all the better because of it. Monday, at The Twilight Saga: New Moon's premiere, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg made an appearance on the red carpet and talked about how it was for her to write New Moon into a such an engaging cinematic storyline. The day after the premiere, Rosenberg sat down, once more, with MakingOf.com to talk about how she approaches the process of bringing the Twilight franchise to screen. She also discussed what it was like to show on the red carpet and have so many know who she is. Note that Rosenberg joined New Moon castmates Cameron Bright, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Charlie Bewley in Rome last month as well, so she probably got a healthy dose of recognition there as well »
