President of Thai Film Directors' Association. (2007).
Isn't it strange that they never have a problem with extreme violence? I'm aware of the violence in my films, and I did all those scenes because I wanted to make the fights realistic.
International distributors kind of expect me to keep doing action movies. And in a way I'm still enjoying it, since there are many kinds of action films, and those that I've made have a unique feature in applying the Thai fighting style. I think they still have a special value to both Thai and foreign audiences. But of course I don't want to keep making action films forever. I like making them, but there are other things that I like to make too.
