The alleged ringleader of the gang accused of burgling the homes of Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Bilson has been placed in protective custody after receiving "numerous" death threats.
Nick Prugo's lawyer claims his client was targeted after providing Los Angeles police with information relating to a string of raids on the rich and famous.
His tip offs reportedly lead to the arrest of the other alleged members of the so-called 'Hollywood burglar bunch'.
Lawyer Sean Erenstoft tells TMZ.com, "Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the protection of Nick Prugo and his family." »

The teen thieves who stole over $3 million from young Hollywood celebrities didn't have to bother breaking into the stars' homes -- they simply walked through the door.
According to a search warrant obtained by People magazine, the gang -- including Nicholas Prugo, 18, and Rachel Lee, 19 -- gained entry to several celebrity homes by finding unlocked doors on the premises.

While some Hollywood stars are vigilant about guarding their private lives, others are apparently leaving doors wide open. Suspects in the teen burglary gang - who allegedly made off with more than $3 million in jewelry, clothes and other luxury goods from the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Megan Fox and at least five other celebrities - gained entry to the homes mainly by finding doors unlocked, according to a search warrant released in the case. The stars' security was lax in other ways: At Lohan's residence, the suspects broke in by prying open a window using a screwdriver, the documents say. »

Man Charged In Hollywood Burglary Gang Case

A suspect linked to the Hollywood burglary gang which allegedly targeted the homes of Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson and Orlando Bloom has been charged with gun and drug possession.
Five teens, three of them female, have been charged with residential burglary after being arrested in connection to the raids on the homes of several young Hollywood stars.
Designer clothing, jewellery and cash was taken from properties belonging to Lohan, Bloom and Bilson, as well as Audrina Patridge and Ashley Tisdale.
Now, Jonathan Ajar has been charged after police searched his home in connection to the burglaries.
Police confirm the 27 year old handed himself in, but was not charged with residential burglary - instead he was charged with possessing a firearm and drugs at his Los Angeles property.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office says, "We didn't file any charges against him related to the actual burglary.
"We charged him with multiple counts of possession, for sale of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm." »

Even though many of her items were recently returned after her home had been burglarized last year, Paris Hilton feels "very, very violated" from the experience, says her younger sister. "She was just happy to get some of it back," Nicky Hilton, 26, told People Saturday while hosting a Halloween party at Las Vegas's Pure Nightclub. JoAnna Garcia is coming to How I Met Your Mother as an old friend, and potential conquest, for Ted Mosby on How I Met Your Mother later this season, reports say.
The Privileged alum will play Ted's college buddy, Maggie, in "The Window."
Maggie is described as the perfect "girl next door" type, the one every guy wants to marry as soon as he meets her. Only no one has. Ted senses an opportunity.
When he learns that Maggie is not a relationship for once in her life, ecstatic Ted rushes to make a move before his narrow "window of opportunity" closes for good.
Will he succeed? That's doubtful, as Garcia is only signed on for a single episode. But some funny How I Met Your Mother quotes should come out of it at least.

More celebrities have become victims of burglary. On Wednesday, October 28, Los Angeles police said that Megan Fox and her on-and-off boyfriend Brian Austin Green were burglarized by a gang of mostly teenage girls, who allegedly broke into stars' residences.
According to TMZ, Brian's Hollywood Hills home was burglarized during a series of celebrity break-ins, while the former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star was in New York City to shoot his upcoming movie. Some of the properties taken included the actor's recreational gun and several of Megan's signature T-shirts as well as some other clothes. However, sources told TMZ that the stolen goods have been returned by cops last week.
Beside Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, Ashley Tisdale was also the victim of the same robbers, who have been accused for breaking into the houses of Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge, Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton, and Rachel Bilson between late 2008 and September 2009. Unfortunately, »

Police Call For Swift Action Over Lohan/Patridge Burglaries

Los Angeles police officials have asked prosecutors to charge the five youngsters accused of stealing items belonging to Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge with criminal trespass and burglary.
The gang, featuring teenagers Diana Tamayo and Courtney Ames, was arrested within the last two weeks, and all members are currently free on bail.
But that could all change if police chiefs get their way.
Lohan's home was allegedly robbed by members of the gang this summer, while the accused thieves hit Patridge's estate in February.
Some of the youngsters have also been linked to similar crimes at homes belonging to Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom and Rachel Bilson.
TMZ.com reports police have officially handed the case over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney. Charges are expected to be filed later on Wednesday.
A sixth gang member, Rachel Lee, is not expected to be charged today as there's currently insufficient evidence linking her to any crime. »
