Opens: 2010
Cast: Naomi Watts, Annette Bening, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington
Director: Rodrigo Garcia
Summary: A tale of a mother and daughter, separated at birth, who struggle with the damage done by the most important person missing in their lives while a young African-Americn woman deals with an unwanted pregnancy and the adoption process.
Analysis: Scoring rave reviews in Toronto, the $7 million latest effort of Rodrigo Garcia ("Nine Lives," "Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her") once again shows off his skill at weaving multiple narratives together in clever and unexpected ways. At its heart it's an emotional family drama, but Garcia excels with his female characters which makes the involvement of Naomi Watts, Kerry Washington and especially Annette Benning thrilling.
The few criticisms levelled at the film were toward some pacing and credibility issues in the last act, but otherwise praised it for not »

We've listed down our top 50 hottest young actors and would be coming up with the latest updates very soon. Yesterday, we discussed about actors we believed to be quite underrated. How about the young actors we consider overrated? That's what this article is for...
- - -
- - -
Who qualifies as overrated? Guys who seem to be getting lots of buzz, but has no real talent at all, or perhaps just a small amount of it. I have no issue if an actor gets the cover of GQ or Details or L'Uomo Vogue every month. They can even strut their stuff on the catwalks of Milan and Paris and gain additional media mileage. But to be considered the hottest actor on the planet with nothing to show yet? That is something totally absurd.
Anyway, here's our list of ten just after the jump!

This oughta get the True Blood-thirsty among you salivating! Since Alan Ball has confirmed that season 3 will make an animal attraction of the werewolf Alcide (who debuted in the third Sookie novel, Club Dead), I thought I — and, in turn, you — should help the series' busy, busy creator on his hunt for just the right actor to sink his teeth into the juicy part. My suggestions: Henry Cavill: If The Tudors' other heartthrob can look that good in tights and frilly shirts, we can't imagine he'd fare worse with back hair front and back. The question is, »

- First Sundance (Spread), then the Cannes market (The Open Road) and now Tribeca, it looks like Anchor Bay Films are getting serious about the theatrical side of the movie business acquiring modestly sized comedies with star power. They happen to believe so much in Raymond de Felitta's Tribeca winning film that they've grabbed all rights for North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. De Felitta last directed The Thing About My Folks and doc film 'Tis Autumn - The Search for Jackie Paris. City Island is set in a fishing village in the Bronx, De Felitta's original screenplay stars Andy Garcia as Vince Rizzo, a correctional officer who is keeping a couple of secrets. He’s taking an acting class in the city with Molly Charlesworth (Emily Mortimer) and he’s taking home a prisoner from the jail where he works— a young man (Steven Strait) who »

I received a crazy email recently regarding Priest, the upcoming adaptation of Min-Woo Hyung's TokyoPop comic book, but unfortunately I ditched it not knowing it would come in handy so quickly. It had something to do with how the story was being treated all wrong, but since I am not familiar with the source material of the horror Western I had no reply. Perhaps some of you can enlighten me in the comments? However, I can pass on word Cam Gigandet has joined Paul Bettany in the Scott Stewart directed production according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film centers on a warrior priest (Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Gigandet) who is part vampire and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped the priest's niece. This adaptation has been around for quite some time and at one point »

At one point the Screen Gems western-horror Priest was expected to star Gerard Butler and Steven Strait, but the comic based film has dropped those two names and has now attached Paul Bettany to star as a warrior priest who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped the priest's niece. Bettany's Legion director, Scott Stewart, is aboard to helm the pic based on the TokyoPop comic book penned by Cory Goodman (The Brood). Screen Gems is also set to release Legion on January 22, 2010 and Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper told The Hollywood Reporter, "I knew the moment I saw Stewart's first cut of Legion that Bettany was Priest and so I mentioned it to him immediately." In Legion Bettany stars as the archangel Michael, the only one standing between mankind and an apocalypse, after God loses faith in humanity. »

Paul Bettany has signed on to star in Priest, Stars Road Entertainment and Screen Gems’ upcoming adaptation of the Korean comic by Hyung Min-woo that combines the Western genre with supernatural horror. The movie will reunite Bettany with director Scott Stewart, for whom he just finished starring in Legion, an upcoming Screen Gems supernatural thriller. Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire and follows a warrior priest (Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. Cory Goodman (The Brood) wrote the screenplay. The Priest adaptation almost came together a couple of years ago with Gerard Butler and Steven Strait under the direction of Andrew Douglas (2005’s The Amityville Horror) but fell apart. Stewart is a former Ilm staffer who co-founded special effects house the Orphanage. His FX credits include Iron Man, »

I got this video send by youtube user EmtyReasons its a video by Joanna and shows us the Twilight series excluding Breaking Dawn. We see snippets of each books. Heres the videoHeres what Joanna wrote about the videoSummary of the series focusing mostly on the angsty side of the story thats why Breaking Dawn wasnt included.I have been meaning to do this for a while. I was planning it so much better in my head though I hope you enjoy regardless I love the little references to the book covers and absolutely adore the song. Its a shame there is not much Taylor material out there I wouldve loved to see that. But Steven Strait does a good job for now. Do you think this represents the books well? Would you use this to show your friends to tell them about Twilight? »

Weve already featured a video from Youtube user Tiffany but since she got featured in the Boxwish blog and weve got a few Ta members sending her trailer to me I decided to feature her once more. This is what the Boxwish blog wroteSince the twominute video was added last summer its tallied up nearly four million views and is still going strong. The popularity for this trailer is unprecedented with it becoming the 93rd most favourited clip on the site and the ninth top rated clip in the Film Animation category. And theres no questioning tiffanyd666s devotion to the Stephenie Meyer novels as her profile page is chockablock with Twilight fanmania. Her favourite music is Brit rock band Muse a credited inspiration for Meyer with their anthem Supermassive Black Hole a fantastic backdrop to the Cullen baseball scene and her favourite books? Oh, cast of "Undiscovered," where have you gone? Yes, one of the worst films of 2005 featured the big screen acting debut of one Ashlee Simpson whose Top 40 popularity and some snazzy cinematography couldn't save the movie's lame script and uninspired direction. Her co-stars have floundered as well, except for possibly Steven Strait who managed to get absolutely no career bump by starring in Roland Emmerich's "10,000 B.C.," but at least it almost made $100 million right? And poor Shannyn Sossamon. Online fans loved her last TV series, "Moonlight, but not enough to save it. The overhyped promise after »
