Toured the country with the Broadway musical Les Miserables before opening on Broadway in the show on September 10, 2001. Has played lead roles in 3 Broadway shows (Les Miz, La Boheme, and Thoroughly Modern Millie) earning a Tony Honor for La Boheme, his first operatic role as well.
