Fango just spent some time on the set of The Reef, the new film by Andrew Traucki (the Australian filmmaker who co-directed and co-scripted 2007’s exceptional killer-crocodile flick Black Water) and came back with a couple of exclusive pics, which you can see below. Traucki, a longtime surfer who couldn’t stay away from the water if he tried, is once again investigating the theme of large predatory animal interactions with humans, but is wading into much deeper here.

And if you’d like to share the experiences of the cast and crew of The Reef (which we first reported on here), you can join them live when they stream on-line in real time from the location in Hervey Bay, Queensland this Wednesday, November 4 if you’re U.S./UK-based and Thursday, Nov. 5 for Australians. Check out the film’s official website to sign up, and also read a production blog and other info. »
