Xena’s sword is going back in the sheath.

NBC’s planned reboot of “Xena: Warrior Princess” is not moving forward following the recent departure of writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach. The network considers the project to be dead in its current iteration, although it remains possible that a new “Xena” revival could be developed down the road.

Rob Tapert (the original co-creator of “Xena”) and Sam Raimi had been heading up the project for Ghost House Pictures in association with NBC International Television Studios. »
