ExxonMobil Lawyers Say Year’s Worth of Emails Missing from Rex Tillerson’s Account

A year’s worth of email belonging to ExxonMobil’s former CEO Rex Tillerson, now the Secretary of State, cannot be found, the company said in court on Wednesday. The correspondence was sent between 2008 and 2015 under the name “Wayne Tracker,” according to the McClatchy news service. Tillerson, whose middle name is Wayne, apparently used the account to communicate more easily with others in the company about “a broad range of business-related topics,” the company said. But the existence of the account was not previously disclosed in an investigation into whether ExxonMobil purposefully misled the public and investors about the impact of climate change. »

Today in Trumpland: Corruption, Collusion, Leaks and More Russia

Today was a brain-scrambling exercise in trying to follow the corruption that is oozing out of our government. There’s so much happening that those of us with lives and jobs that do not permit 24 hour-monitoring could use a digest. For the record, this litany of underhanded dealing makes our country seems increasingly like a banana republic — run by a strongman and supported by his sycophants — rather than a 240-year-old democracy. It would be funny if it weren’t tragic. It’s worth keeping a running list, and here it is. Also Read: Anti-Trump Tweet Sent From Cabinet Member's Twitter Account You can. »

Here’s a list of all the events that happen in “Legion” in order, as near as we can tell, the sixth episode. Spoilers! Anti-Trump Tweet Sent From Cabinet Member’s Twitter Account

A cry for his removal from office isn’t the kind of thing you’d expect a member of Donald Trump’s cabinet to tweet about their boss. But it happened this afternoon, sort of, after the official Twitter account of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao was hijacked by an unidentified Department of Transportation employee. The offending tweet came after California Democratic Representative Maxine Waters urged followers on Twitter to “Get ready for impeachment.” “Sue His Very Soul Maxine,” Chao’s account replied soon after. Unsurprisingly, the tweet was very quickly deleted, and the Dot issued a statement soon after blaming “an employee with access to. »

A bankruptcy judge ordered Netflix to pay more than $800,000 in attorney’s fees to Ryan Kavanaugh’s embattled studio Relativity Media after a legal battle the studio fought with the streaming giant over much of the past year relating to the latter’s plan to stream Relativity films “Masterminds” and “The Disappointments Room” without waiting for their theatrical release. U.S. bankruptcy judge Michael Wiles ruled that Netflix was obligated to pay Relativity a total of $818,547.48, consisting of $795,732.50 in reasonable attorneys’ fees and $22,814.98 in litigation expenses. However, the judge did not order the streaming giant to pay for fees and. »

Joe Scarborough: ‘Remove Devin Nunes as Intel Chairman’

Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough called on Republicans to drop Rep. Devin Nunes as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee after a chain of events that suggested Nunes was sucking up to the White House instead of working in the interests of Congress. “If the Republican Party wants to do what is best for this country and its national security, they will remove Devin Nunes as Intel Chairman,” tweeted Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida. The tweet continued the “Mean Girls”-pattern of friendliness and fighting that has characterized the Trump-Scarborough relationship for months. Last week, things got so »

At&T and Verizon have become the latest major advertisers to pull their ads from Google’s YouTube in the wake of an investigation by the Times of London that found content from mainstream brands like McDonalds, Disney and L’Oreal was appearing as mid-roll or banner ads on extremist videos. The Times story from March 17 highlighted a L’Oreal ad for the Prince’s Trust featuring Helen Mirren that appeared during a video sermon from a preacher who talked about homosexuals burning. 6 hours ago

After London’s horrific terror attack Wednesday, several media outlets rushed to identify Abu Izzadeen as the man behind them. But others said he had a solid alibi: He’s behind bars for an unrelated offense. If he wasn’t involved, Abu Izzadeen will join a long line of people who have been falsely accused. Here are some others. Richard Jewell was first identified as a hero for spotting an abandoned green knapsack at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Why Krispy Kreme Is All Over ‘Power Rangers’

Lionsgate’s “Saban’s Power Rangers” is full of high-octane action … and high-fructose corn syrup. Anyone who has seen the movie can’t help but notice the ubiquitous presence of sweet treats chain Krispy Kreme, whose fictional store in the “Power Rangers'” made-up hometown of Angel Grove, California, is integral to the film’s plot. But the ties between the colorful heroes and the doughnuts with their signature glaze goes well beyond simple product placement in the film.
