Late Night: Seth Takes Aim at 'Human Pinky Ring' Anthony Scaramucci

Multiple late-night hosts set their sights on Anthony Scaramucci, the White House’s new communications director, on Monday night — but Seth Meyers clearly came prepared with the most insults.

“Look at this guy! He’s a human pinky ring,” Meyers began during a new Closer Look segment. “He is the human embodiment of a double-parked BMW. He looks like the guy who leaves a doo-wop group over creative differences. He looks like the only magician you could get on short notice.” (Tell us how you really feel, Seth!)

A small town full of otherworldly beings welcomed a stranger into its midst as Midnight, Texas premiered Monday on NBC. But did the supernatural drama make you feel at home, too?

In a moment, we’ll want to hear what you thought of True Blood author Charlaine Harris’ latest TV adaptation. But first, a brief recap:

Sytycd Recap: 4 Memorable Moments From Day 2 at The Academy

So You Think You Can Dance might only get an hour of weekly airtime this summer — but the Fox series knows how to wring every last drop of drama out of those 60 minutes.

Now that the Academy contestants — well, most of them — have survived the hip-hop round, Monday’s episode presented the remaining hopefuls with back-to-back challenges: contemporary and ballroom.

In the hour that followed, a number of seemingly finale-bound dancers were eliminated — and, weirdly, it was their All-Star coaches who did most of the crying. Below, let’s recap the four biggest moments from Monday’s installment:

Shadowhunters Recap: Mirror, Mirror

Not that she didn’t already, but Clary Fray is going to need so much therapy after the events of Monday’s Shadowhunters.

But where would she even begin? With the fact that her demon-blooded brother is alive and has been masquerading as a suave British Shadowhunter? Or the fact that said brother kissed her, knowing full well of their familial connection? Honestly, it was a hell of a week.

Much of the episode’s drama revolved around the hunt for the Mortal Mirror, with which Valentine »

Damon Lindelof Talks Leftovers Emmy Snub: 'I Wish I Can Say I Don't Care'

Damon Lindelof is not going to lie and tell you he wasn’t a little bummed out about the bruising left hook Emmy voters landed on The Leftovers earlier this month when they honored the acclaimed HBO drama with a total of zero nominations in the major categories.

“I wish I could say I don’t care about that stuff,” he admitted to me over the weekend at TVLine’s Comic-Con interview lounge (watch video above). “But the Emmys are a big deal. It’s the validation of your peers. I’m voting for the shows that I love.”

Roseanne Revival: Sarah Chalke Drops Big Hint About Top-Secret Character

Sarah Chalke will play D.J.’s wife in ABC’s forthcoming Roseanne revival… is an icky, incest-tinged, so-wrong-it’d-be-right theory I posited to Becky No. 2 over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. And while I’m likely wrong — Chalke’s dumbstruck reaction all but confirmed as much — the actress strongly hinted that her top-secret character will have a significant tie to at least one member of the Conner clan.

Westworld Cast, EPs Take Us Inside Park's Top-Secret Souvenir Shop

Much like Westworld‘s titular amusement park itself, the HBO drama’s presence at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was vast and all-encompassing. So much so, we had to split the sci-fi series’ massive cast in two just to be able to fit them in our interview suite.

Alias Grace: Anna Paquin and a Bunch of Bodies Fill Miniseries Teaser Trailer

There aren’t any vampires in Alias Grace, one of Anna Paquin’s first TV gigs since True Blood, but that doesn’t mean that the world of this Netflix miniseries isn’t a dangerous place to inhabit. Because, as the first teaser trailer for the Margaret Atwood novel’s adaptation shows us, corpses pop up at a rather alarming rate when Grace Marks (11.22.63‘s Sarah Gadon) is in the picture.

Twin Peaks Recap: Becky's Got a Gun

A bumpy Twin Peaks this week. Surprise horror, painfully drawn out moments, and at least one big revelation: Bobby Briggs seems to be Becky’s father. And at some point Shelly and Bobby were married, as we now know that Shelly’s last name is Briggs (more on the state of that marriage in a moment). So yes, it would seem that I was wrong last week about Leo being Becky’s father (and perhaps wrong about Becky killing Leo). But I would like to remind you that Shelly is still wearing that mysterious ring on a chain around her »

Manhunt: Unabomber Review: Discovery's New Anthology Series Is Less Explosive Than Analytical

How much you enjoy Manhunt: Unabomber will depend almost entirely on one thing: how gripping you find watching someone else solve a puzzle.

In the first three hours of Discovery’s new anthology series (premiering Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 9/8c), there are some gruesome reenactments of Ted Kaczynski’s crimes, insurance that we never lose sight of what’s at stake. And the drama manages to wring suspense out of a bunch of G-men standing around a phone and listening, fearful of an explosion, as planes are cleared for takeoff. But mostly, it’s a whole lot of rookie profiler “Fitz »
