An arrest warrant has been issued for actor Shia LaBeouf after he failed to show up in court on Tuesday to face an unlawful smoking charge. Smith: "I'm Not a Scientologist"
Will Smith has hit back at claims he and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith
have been
recruited by the Church of Scientology.
Recent reports claimed the couple had started following the
controversial
faith, on the advice of close pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
But Smith insists he chooses to study religions, without subscribing
to any
one.
He says, "You don't have to be Jewish to be a friend of Steven Spielberg. You
don't have to be a Muslim to be a friend of Muhammad Ali. And you don't
have to
be a Scientologist to be a friend of Tom Cruise. I am a Christian. I am
a
student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths."
A spokesman for Smith adds, "As Will Smith's publicist I can tell you
with
100 percent certainty that Will is not a Scientologist."
Clooney Not Returning to 'ER'

Hollywood superstar George Clooney has laughed off rumors he is set to
return
to the long-running U.S. medical drama ER for its final season.
Reports alleged the 46-year-old was one of the former stars of the
hit series
due to make a small-screen comeback to celebrate the hit show ending
after its
15th season later this year.
But Clooney - who shot to fame with his portrayal of hunky Dr. Douglas
Ross -
has dismissed the claims, insisting the series' bosses have not asked
him to
come back.
And the actor wasn't the only one shocked by the rumors of his
return - he
claims the show's executive producer John Wells had no idea of his
supposed
cameo appearance either.
He explains, "No, we never even talked about it. No one has ever
asked me.
It's the funniest thing. The story came out, and I was like, 'Where did
that
come from?' It was everywhere - I mean in one day!
I ran into John Wells two days ago on the lot
and said to him,
'What the
hell happened?' He said, 'I don't know. I don't know where that came
from."
But Clooney isn't discounting how crucial the role was to his
catapulting him
to stardom, adding, "I was 33 when ER hit, so I have a very different
outlook
on the way things work.
I don't think I was supposed to have been famous. I realize how much
of this
is luck."

The pair have been in Watts' homeland while her beau shoots new movie Wolverine there. The couple were forced to issue a statement denying they had married in June 2007 after Schreiber joked to reporters, "We are married. You got it first. Break the story!" This time around, Watts' representative is refusing to confirm or deny the reports, telling New York gossip column PageSix.com, "I don't comment on her personal life."

Jones Slams Irresponsible Role Models

Actress Rashida Jones has hit out at the "depressing" lack of Hollywood role models for young girls. Jones, the star of U.S. TV's The Office and the daughter of music legend Quincy Jones, is fed up with reading about the exploits of troubled celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. Instead, the 32-year-old wishes more attention could be focused on responsible role models - like Miley Cyrus. She says, "I think about what it would be like to have a daughter now, one who is influenced by Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears - and, ugh, it's so depressing. Where are the other young Hollywood role models who are cool, smart, and out there doing something with their lives? Maybe Miley Cyrus? There's a definite responsibility that comes with being famous. You shouldn't be able to just... look pretty."
