Silent Great, 4 January 2001
Author: eibon04 from New York City, NY

The Kid(1921) is the best film that Charles Chaplin has ever done. City Lights shares some similarities with this film because both are filled with a lot of potent emotions and comedy. Charles Chaplin is excellent as the tramp, a man from the 19th Century who's out of place in the 20th Century. Jackie Coogan and Chaplin are wonderful when appearing together. The story of The Kid(1921) has been repeated but never equaled due to the film's ability to cause strong emotions among movie goers.
