Factual errors: Orville says that he was born on September 13, 1913, a Friday. That date was actually a Saturday.
Continuity: After Orville and Jeff emerge from splashing in the oasis, they are dry.
Continuity: When Jeff and Orville are seated on the shore after the ship wreck, Jeff inserts his dry cigarettes into his left breast pocket, with the tops visible. They disappear, however, when the camel makes its entrance, and are never seen again. They can't have fallen into the pocket since Jeff had pushed them to the bottom of the pocket.
Revealing mistakes: When Orville and Jeff are in jail, the superimposed background bleeds into the jail guard's caftan.
Errors in geography: Orville and Jeff are kissed by an amorous two-humped (Bactrian) camel. The camels in North Africa (Dromedaries) have only one hump. Bactrian camels are a much more the norm in Central Asia.
Continuity: When Jeff enters the room where Orville and Princess Shalmar are watching the dancing girls, he walks down the center and then drifts slightly over to the left decorative border on the floor. In the next shot, he is well past the left border, standing near a column.
Continuity: Orville is wearing a shiny overcoat when the maiden comes to tell him that Jeff is in the courtyard. Orville then pulls the coat back over his shoulder.
