A reasonably accurate screen adaptation of BEAT TO QUARTERS by C.S. Forester about the British naval captain during the Napoleonic Wars. Hornblower is sent to the pacific coast of Latin America to bring arms to a rebel leader against Spain only to find he must also defeat a ship nearly half again the size of his frigate Lydia.
