This short film was the inspiration for the Terry Gilliam film Twelve Monkeys (1995).
Around the 8:40 marker, when two scientists in the background are speaking German, if you listen carefully, you can hear one of them slightly laugh after almost mispronouncing the word 'muscular contraction'.

Jean Négroni is known to have been the French narrator. But the English version is supposed to have been voiced by William Klein, the "man from the future."
