Helen Mirren and Jane Fonda came to Paris Fashion Week to strut their stuff!

On Sunday, Mirren and Fonda walked the runway at the L’Oréal Paris show — and the pair of 70-something beauties looked radiant as they shared the catwalk with models.

Mirren, 72, wore a Chaplin-esque buttoned coat and wide-legged grey checkered trousers and as she made her way down the runway, she playfully slung a walking stick over her shoulder. While Fonda, 79, was all dolled up in a long form-fitting tiger print dress from Balmain with a partially unzipped zipper detail in the back.

"I think I could sleep again if there was somebody next to me, you know, someone nice." Netflix has just debuted a new full-length trailer for Ritesh Batra's film Our Souls at Night, a romantic drama starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda, who have appeared together four times in films, starting with Barefoot in the Park over fifty years ago. The story is about two older people who are neighbors in a small town in Colorado, but had little contact. They finally connect and romance sparks, as they try to make the most of the rest of their time. In addition to Redford and Fonda, this stars Bruce Dern, Matthias Schoenaerts, Judy Greer and Iain Armitage. This film is as sweet as grandma's apple pie, and very charming, but is very lightweight and doesn't offer much below the surface. At least it's adorable to see them together again. Here's

Book Review: "Starring The Plaza" By Patty Farmer; Foreword By Mitzi Gaynor

By Lee Pfeiffer

“Starring the Plaza” by Patty Farmer (Beaufort Books, Hardback, Illustrated, 130 pages Isbn#: 0825308461)

One of New York’s biggest film stars isn’t even a person…it’s The Plaza, the legendary hotel on Central Park where numerous classic movies have been shot. Author Patty Farmer reverently captures the allure of the fabled place in her new book “Starring the Plaza”, which pays tribute to one of Gotham’s truly grand dames (she dates back to 1907). Cinematically, some celluloid gems stand out in our minds: Cary Grant being kidnapped there in North By Northwest, Streisand and Redford as briefly reunited former lovers outside the hotel in The Way We Were and Walter Matthau starring in numerous Neil Simon comedy skits in Plaza Suite. The wonderful anecdotes are accompanied by 180 photos, making this an irresistible addition to any movie lover’s book collection.

‘Our Souls At Night’ Review: Robert Redford & Jane Fonda Together Again After 38 Years – It’s Worth The Wait

‘Our Souls At Night’ Review: Robert Redford & Jane Fonda Together Again After 38 Years – It’s Worth The Wait
Robert Redford and Jane Fonda made a great screen team for about a 12-year period in the 1960s and ’70s, but they haven’t worked together in nearly four decades. Although both were in 1966’s The Chase, it wasn’t until the next year when we saw their chemistry connect in the film version of Neil Simon’s Barefoot In The Park. In the intervening half century since, they worked beautifully together again in Sydney Pollack’s 1979 underrated The Electric Horseman. Finally now…

Jane Fonda Defies Ageism in Hollywood: ‘I Live for Sex Scenes’

Jane Fonda Defies Ageism in Hollywood: ‘I Live for Sex Scenes’
Jane Fonda made her “Our Souls at Night” co-star Robert Redford blush at the colorful press conference for the Netflix film at the Venice Film Festival on Friday.

Fonda, who was in a particularly cheeky mood at the presser, joked that she “lives for sex scenes,” and spoke candidly of her enduring love and admiration for Redford since they starred together in “The Chase” in 1966 and “Barefoot in the Park” the following year.

Throughout the press conference, which was also attended by “Our Souls at Night” director Ritesh Batra, both Redford and Fonda spoke of the rampant ageism within the film industry and the limited representation of older characters in movies.

Venice Film Review: ‘Our Souls at Night’

Venice Film Review: ‘Our Souls at Night’
Addie and Louis don’t exactly have the love affair to end all love affairs planned, except in the sense that they hope it’ll be their last. “I just want to live out my day and then come tell you about it at night,” he offers, one weary Colorado octogenarian to another, and that suits her needs just fine. That line encapsulates the modesty of the drama in “Our Souls at Night,” an anodyne, autumnal adaptation of Kent Haruf’s slender swansong novel: The real conflicts and crises in these lovers’ lives have passed years before, in separate relationships, and it’s their joint attempts to reappraise those that gives Ritesh Batra’s wheaten-hued film much of its poignancy. The rest it owes to the residual low-key chemistry of stars Robert Redford and Jane Fonda in their fourth screen collaboration; nearly 40 years after “The Electric Horseman,” they resume their partnership as comfortably and as unfussily as

‘Our Souls at Night’ Review: Jane Fonda and Robert Redford Play Nice People in a Nice Romance
A Netflix-and-chill movie for the generation that might have to look up what “Netflix and chill” means, “Our Souls at Night” reunites Jane Fonda and Robert Redford in a sweet, low-key romance that operates best when it eschews plot and just lets us get to know these characters as they get to know each other. Boasting the kind of star wattage that can’t be hidden under all the bushels of Wal-Mart sleepwear and mom jeans that the film can muster, Fonda and Redford prove, five decades after “Barefoot in the Park,” that they can still generate onscreen sparks. We don’t.
