• Revealing mistakes: As the Black Sheik rides across the desert sand, it's obvious from the already present hoofprints that we're not looking at the first take.
  
  
• Continuity: When Micky, Davy, and Mike are cornered by the man in the cloak, close-ups of Mike flipped - the part in his hair is backwards.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: Wires pulling the mermaids and Mickey through the water can be seen at the beginning of the film. Wires are also visible supporting the Monkees before getting sucked into the vacuum, and when falling from the sky into the street at the end of the film.
  
  

• Continuity: Annette Funicello's character is called Theresa by Davy before the boxing sequence, but is listed as Minnie in the end credits.
  
  
• Continuity: When Micky jumps from the bridge at the start of the film, the replacement dummy enters the water head first. In the next shot, when we see the real Micky entering the water as seen from below, he enters feet first.
  
  
• Continuity: When the cop orders The Monkees out of the box, he is wearing sunglasses. The camera angle changes as they climb down, and suddenly the sunglasses are in the cop's hand.
  
  
• Continuity: When the "first" Monkee gets sucked into the vacuum, another is Monkee plainly seen on the "inside" of the vacuum cleaner ahead of him. When the "second" one falls in, there's only one other Monkee.
