Sir Michael Caine refuses to do his own stunts - insisting he is too old to risk injuring himself.
The 75-year-old veteran actor is famed for taking part in dangerous movie sequences in classic films such as Get Carter and The Italian Job, but isn't keen to continue his risk-taking ways.
And the star admits it was his years as a soldier in the British Army which put him off further risking his neck.
He says, "I have done all those years of doing stunts. I try to avoid danger at all cost.
"I served in the occupation force in Berlin in 1951 and then the Korean war for one year. I got out as quick as I could... Ex-soldiers never do dangerous things. You used up all your luck."

Sir Michael Caine vowed never to ride a horse again, after pal Christopher Reeve was left paralysed following an equestrian accident.
The Italian Job star confesses he was a terrible rider anyway, and was lucky to escape unharmed during a horse-riding scene in 1970 film The Last Valley.
But he instructed his agent to reject all horse-based movies after Reeve's tragic fall in 1995, which left the Superman severely paralysed and wheelchair-bound for the rest of his life. He died in 2004.
Caine says, "I am absolutely useless. I act as though I can ride. In The Last Valley, I led a charge. If I'd have come off, they'd have all run over me.
"But since Chris Reeve, I say, 'If there's a horse in the script, don't even send it to me'. I'm never getting on a horse again."

News Corp-controlled Sky television is accelerating the process of remastering classic British films in the Blu-ray high-definition system, not only to make them available to consumers on disk but also to make them more suitable for the movie channels on its satellite service, the BBC reported today (Monday). Michael Caine, who starred in several of the films being restored, including Zulu and The Italian Job, told the BBC, "I love Hd ... of course, it's very unforgiving, especially on young beautiful ladies, but thank God I'm old, I don't care."
