Everybody knows the name Herschell Gordon Lewis. The man who made the first slasher, Blood Feast. that one was nice for the time being and really bloody. It was made in 1963, 11 years later he made his last flick. Hold your horses, I mean, he made others after wards but took a break of 30 years. He appeared as an 'actor' in other flicks. In 11 years you would think that the way you're going to make a movie should be evolved. But he hasn't, there are a lot of bad editing, some takes are really blurred, faults in clothing, no color grading...a real low budget. The strippers are really doing it against their will, that's how they perform. No pole, no atmosphere, no nothing. But Herschell keeps you attracted by giving a lot of nudity and a lot of gore. Of course we're looking for the gore (ahum) which he was best known for. And it really is messy and gory. But you have to add yourself to the era it was made. You can easily see up to today that the effects are cheap, you can see the latex mask but it works well. Gory for the time being, but not worth mentioning for the storyline and acting.
