• During the song at the inn the paintings shown on the wall tell the story of the Brothers Lionheart.
  
  
• Dragon Katla (partially portrayed by a flame-throwing puppet head) accidentally caught fire during shooting.
  
  
• In the big fighting scene in the end, the two armies are shown on either side of a big valley. They are actually the same men, filmed different days on different sides of the valley.
  
  
• When you see a big line of tengil soldiers marching past the camera, it is the same men walking around the camera and returning in line.
  
  
• In the last fighting scene, the villagers run from Katla down the hill and pass a lot of junipers. The junipers are actually burned down already, before Katla's fire hit them. They were accidentally burned down in other takes before the "right" one.
