Janet Jackson is known almost as much for her private nature as she is for her signature dance moves and decades of pop hits. But in a rare interview with ABC News that aired on Wednesday night, the day after her Number Ones album came out, the singer sat down with Robin Roberts to discuss her feelings about brother Michael Jackson's death, her breakup with Jermaine Dupri and how she's trying to gain more control over her sometimes chaotic life.

Happy DVD release day, people. Hitting stores this week is one of the year's biggest films, the animated film Monsters vs Aliens, plus a number of indie flicks you might have missed including Sam Mendes' Away We Go, Steven Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience starring Sasha Grey, and Shrink starring Kevin Spacey. Rian Johnson's The Brothers Bloom is also available for rental exclusively at Blockbuster today, but in a strange deal, it will not be available to buy in the U.S. until January (it will be available in Canada next week, however). In terms of TV releases, there are a ton of Fan Favorites collections for classic shows, plus season 4 of How I Met Your Mother, and then there's the massive 70th Anniversary Edition of The Wizard of Oz plus Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal on Blu-ray. Do you plan on picking anything up this week?

Peter Facinelli (Carlise Cullen), Cameron Bright (Alec), and Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley) from The Twilight Saga: New Moon have all been added to the growing lineup of Wizard World Chicago (now being touted as the Chicago Comic-con) which will take place August 6-9, 2009 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
The organizers of the pop-culture heavy event contacted Fangoria this afternoon to share a host of new additions to the guest list, and to dangle the carrot of something very special to be announced on Monday.

Gary Coleman's Wife Arrested for Domestic Violence

TMZ is reporting that Gary Coleman's wife was arrested last night for domestic violence and disorderly conduct in Santaquin, Utah, where the couple has a home. According to the sheriff, Shannon Price was booked for the two misdemeanors at 8:32pm and then released on $1,205 bond. Police say that Price allegedly broke household items belonging to Coleman ("Diff'rent Strokes") and that he was not physically harmed. The 41-year-old Coleman met the 23-year-old Price on the set of the 2006 comedy "Church Ball." The two wed soon after in August of 2007.

It's sad to say but TV theme songs aren't nearly as important as they once were. Some current shows don't have them like Lost or rarely use them like Two And A Half Men.
There was a time when a TV show's theme song was essential, setting the mood and the back story. What would Gilligan's Island, The Brady Bunch, or even Full House be without their iconic music? Well, one industrious YouTuber decided to see how replacing the opening of a cancelled classic would change the show's tone.
Diff'rent Strokes was an incredibly popular sitcom in the 1970s. Judge Bans Release Of Coleman's Disorderly Conduct Deposition

Pint-sized actor Gary Coleman has won his bid to prevent the release of the videotaped testimony in which he pleaded no contest to charges of reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
The former Diff'rent Strokes star was in court in December to face charges stemming from the incident, which took place earlier in 2008. He pleaded no contest to the charges and was ordered to pay a $100 (£70) fine.
The charges stem from an altercation at a bowling alley when Coleman allegedly struck 24-year-old fan Colt Rushton with his car after he took photos of the star and his wife Shannon Price.
Rushton was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. He filed a lawsuit against Coleman for damages just two weeks after the incident.
A Utah judge ruled on Tuesday that Coleman's deposition from the case should not be released for public viewing until the personal-injury lawsuit is settled, after the actor's lawyers insisted the tape could prevent a fair trial.
Judge Samuel McVey told the court, "I do not want to come in here and have the whole jury challenged off."

Gary Coleman's latest taped appearance is not ready for prime time.
A Utah judge ruled Tuesday that a videotaped deposition Coleman gave after being sued by a guy he roughed up at a bowling alley will not be released until the personal-injury lawsuit is settled.
"I do not want to come in here and have the whole jury challenged off," said Fourth District Judge Samuel McVey, who agreed with the defense that a fair trial might not be possible if people were privy to Coleman's Q&A session.

Just about everyone who is evenly slightly versed in pop culture knows who Jason Vorhees is. Even those who have never seen a Friday the 13th film are familiar with the name. Jason's iconic status as a serial killer has him joining the ranks of serial killers the likes of which only Michael Meyers and Freddy Krueger have achieved.
Because everything old is suddenly new again, New Line Cinema and Paramount Pictures are co-producing a remake of the 1980 low budget slasher flick. It hits theaters this Friday, February 13 (big surprise) and both studios are undoubtedly already counting the box office dollars in their minds even though not a single ticket has been sold.
As the date nears, Paramount has grabbed some of the original films out of their vault and given them slick new DVD releases, the first one even hitting Blu-ray (read Brad's review of that one here
