From its synth-heavy opening song and freeze-frame-filled beginning credits, Ti West’s The House of the Devil is a loving, respectful ode to the horror films of the 1970s and '80s. But don’t expect to get a warm, fuzzy feeling from all that affection; The House of the Devil is a gory, eerie film that doesn’t follow the templates set up by recent remakes of period favorites such as Halloween, Friday the 13th, and My Bloody Valentine. Instead of repackaging a familiar tale for contemporary audiences, director Ti West’s film revisits the era in a surprisingly fresh and authentic way.
Bearing a striking resemblance to Suspiria-era Jessica Harper, newcomer Jocelin Donahue plays Sam, a New England college student desperate for rent money so she can escape her roommate from hell. When she sees ads for a babysitter around campus, she thinks she may have found her salvation. »

I'm reviewing porn movies on the internet, boy my parents are gonna be so proud (especially with my third DUI I got 2 weeks ago. Hey that's where I've been). This is actually my second pornographic feature that I'm doing on here, but the first was Another Night In China which is more of a horror movie (and my pick for "Scariest Movie of 2009"), so that shouldn't really count. You might be asking what my creditials are to be reviewing this smut on this horror movie website. Well I've have met Ron Jeremy 3 Times and it is a parody of The Hills Have Eyes and since I look like Mini Michael Berryman. So here we go. »

Dee Wallace is a horror icon and Fango Favorite. Having appeared in such classic fright fare as Cujo, The Howling, and Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes, Wallace has become a familiar face who's appearance is welcomed by genre fans around the globe. With upcoming roles in Ti West's acclaimed The House Of The Devil and Rob Zombie's The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto, Fango contributor Lee Gambin has unearthed a retro interview with the actress to present here on Fangoria.com for the very first time.
Fangoria: How did you get started in show business?
Dee Wallace: I got started in acting very early. My mom directed all the religious plays at church, Dad built the scenery, and Grandma did the costumes! I modeled quite a bit and did commercials. I got started in the actual business, that is being paid for work, at 27 when I left Kansas City, »

- Anyone seeing Smash Cut without knowing anything about it could be forgiven for thinking it's a bad film. But when viewed within its context as a tribute to the filmic ouevre of Herschell Gordon Lewis (Color me Blood Red, 2000 Maniacs), the king of grindhouse and exploitation cinema of the 60s and 70s, director Lee Demarbre's (Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, The Dead Sleep Easy) homage can't be seen as anything but good, bloody, campy fun. And there's nothing wrong with that. Featuring a cast of grindhouse and/or B-movie legends like David Hess (the original Last House on the Left), Michael Berryman (the original The Hills Have Eyes), and Ray Sager (the original Wizard of Gore himself!), plus a H.G. Lewis appearance and a mainstream(!) film debut for adult film starlet Sasha Grey, Smash Cut tells the story of down-and-out movie director Able Whitman (Hess, looking like he's having »

He taught you to tie your shoes and ride a bike, and now he’s chasing you around the house with an axe.
Such is fatherhood.
In celebration of Father’s Day, we have gathered our top ten favorite horror movies dads. Without further adieu-
10- Vincent Cassel as Joseph in Sheitan (2006)
While at the Club Styxx on Christmas Eve, a group of kids run into a shepherd named Joseph and his pregnant wife. But something is peculiar about this sinister dad-to-be and it isn’t just the sting of symbolism slapping you in the face.
9- Jim Siedow as the Old Man in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
This twisted gourmet father is a well simmered blend of Emeril Lagasse and Jeffery Dahmer, with a dash of that redneck “squeal like a pig guy” from Deliverance. Bake at 350 and lets put an apple in that pretty mouth of yours.

It’s the latest effort from James Felix McKenney (Automatons) and producer Larry Fessenden and it stars a whole lot of old-school horror icons, Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister among them. It’s Satan Hates You and Fangoria have just gotten an exclusive look at the trailer.
Inspired by films from the golden age of religious cinema, Satan Hates You is a graphic horror film that tells the stories of two individuals and their personal struggles with Lucifer himself.
We follow Marc (Don Wood) a homicidal maniac driven by demons buried deep within his soul, and Wendy (Christine Spencer) a young woman who lives life fast and hard without a second’s thought to the consequences. Their separate paths will eventually cross, but will it be on the road to salvation or the highway to hell?
Also starring: Angus Scrimm (Phantasm, TV’s Alias), Reggie Bannister (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-tep), Michael Berryman »
