  • Continuity: In one battle scene, six fighters attack. Two are destroyed, yet five are then shown. Two more are destroyed, but only two are shown left. After the destruction of the next fighter, the defenders claim "Got them!", but then notice another three fighters fly past.

  • Continuity: A character is frozen, complete with icy frost. As she thaws, her hair is completely dry, and indeed more fashionably styled than before she was frozen.

  • Factual errors: When going into hyperspace for the first time, Akton gives the probabilities of various catastrophes happening to the ship - 40% total disintegration, 30% molecular ignition, 20% gamma contamination - from which Stella concludes that they have a 10% chance of survival. In fact, if these are independent events then the overall probability would be calculated by multiplying the probabilities of surviving each one - which would be 60% x 70% x 80%, giving 33.6%.

  • Continuity: At the end of the film, as Stella Star pilots the 'Flying City' to the villain's space ship she is wearing a long black cape - which she has discarded by the time she bails out wearing her space helmet, but which miraculously reappears for her clinch with Simon after he picks her up.
